Pros: - Wisconsin roadhouse backyard setting
- Widely varied topography (hills, trees, water, etc...)
- Logical flow
- Decent baskets and signage
- Well balanced shots
Cons: - Maybe some safety issues
- Tees not the greatest
Other Thoughts: I'd been meaning to play this course for years, as it's on the way from my home in Iowa to my parents' place near Shawano. Never had a chance to stop until now. It was the first weekend in October, on a Sunday afternoon, so the joint was empty except for some locals hanging out at the bar, watching some NFL on the tube. I paid the $1 green fee and headed out the back door. I know I'll have to come back sometime in the Summer. This place has a lot of stuff going on, including sand volleyball, an outdoor music stage and probably some other stuff that wasn't obvious without people being there.

At the first tee, there are a number of baskets clustered down around a slope that I guess is a putting area that looks to be lit at night. I don't know if the entire course could be illuminated, but that would be a nice feature.

After the first couple of holes, it was clear that I was not going to use my entire bag. It was mid-range and putter drives for the most part, though there were quite a few interesting shots. The course utilizes the ground well, playing around and through the stream that runs through the property and up, down and along the ample steep terrain. There are a few holes at the start of the course that play along the flat and one that ends close to the volleyball courts that you want to be careful if anyone is playing.

In summary, it's a nice little short-game course in a very interesting venue.

Pros: Lambs creek comes into play on about half the holes. They must've redesigned the course within the last year because no holes go over the parking lot or volleyball courts anymore. Water and rollaways are a huge challenge here. Very fun course with some concrete tees. #s 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 i believe. Rubber mats on the others. Back half plays around a steep hillside and along and over Lambs Creek. Challenging holes on the backside of the course. You need to pick your poison on a number of holes and execute to score well. Disccatchers are in excellent shape too. Signs pointing to next tee on all holes. Flow is very well done. Only $1 to play and is way more fun and challenging than Wakanda. If you're in menominee, Check this out. Food is reasonably priced and DELICIOUS too.
Cons: Erosion in spots is a little tricky to navigate up or down the hills. The map on the scorecard didn't match the layout but like i said i think they just revamped it for the better.
Other Thoughts: Very fun course at a very nice bar. They use the creek very well here to offer challenge. Not a deep creek but you'd rather not have to get your disc outta the water so be smart with your shots. Played Axldog then this and had an absolute blast, neither let me down slightly. Highly recommend this one.

Pros: Fun course with lots of water and woods that make you think about your shot. This course is very well maintained and nicely landscaped. Locaded behind the Pioneer Bar with great food and entertainment. The $1 cost is well worth it. This course is short but what it lacks in length it makes up for in technicality. Lams creek runs right through the middle of the couse and it comes into play on four of the nine holes. Lots of risk and reward oppertunities. Very well marked with great signage and nice baskets. Night putting course that looks like fun. Nice variety of big and small trees to throw around. The layout of this course is well thought out and the use of elevation and water is amazing.

Course Description!

One of the only semi open holes 175ft. in an open feild. Once you get closer to the basket big oak trees come into play and they protect the pin very well.
Here you have a choice of going right or left around and island of trees. The lanes are tight and if you throw off the fairway it may be hard to get a three. The pin is right next to the creek so an elevator approch shot is requiered to shop you disc from going in the water.
This hole plays on the side of a very steep hill on the right with the creek on the left. Watch out for you disk rolling into the water. It is also thickly wooded making par a good score.
Here is the first big risk reward shot! The clearest line to the pin is an anhyzer over the creek but if you don't make it you disk will be wet. Thr pin is right next to the water again and if you go for it you have a chance at an ace. The safe rought is a hyzer through the woods its longer but you won't loose a stroke to the water. Be carefull when approching the pin because like I said it is right next to the water.
Up shot through thick woods. This is a hard hole because there are very few windows to throw through. If you don't hit a tree you will have a chance at bridie the pin is on a steep hill so make that putt or your disk might roll away.
Risk reward again! This time its a hyzer over the water to the pin. This is the second longest hole so you had better put some on it or you will be in the creek. The safe rought is a slight anhyzer through thick trees out to a piont, then you have to shoot over thr creek to an elevated pin. A three is a great score here but if you took the risk and made it you have a good chance at a two. Signature Hole!
No more water unless you really throw a bad shot. Hyzer around some trees and you should have a chance for two. The pin is open here and you can get a shot back with a well placed drive.
Up hill anhyzer! Put some power on this one because the pin is elevated again and if you don't make it up will have a big up shot to try for a par. Great hole for forehand throwers.
This is much like hole one excepte the opposite. Thick trees right in front of the tee then if you mack it out open feild. There is a couple of vallyball nets in the middle of the field that are an interesting obstical to play around.

This course is great for working accuracy. Challanging but not long. FUN FUN FUN!!!
Cons: Some of the tees are not cement yet but it is a new course and I am sure they will all be soon. There is also some erosion issues that are in the prosses of being fixed. Some of the holes can be very muddy after a big rain but its not that bad. This course may be hard for a beginer because of all the water. Even floating discs can be lost because the creek mooves fairly fast.
Other Thoughts: There are a lot of good course around here! It can make for a Challanging & fun day.
