Pros: -Decent Baskets
-Long (but narrow) tee pads
-Good use of the space in a small park
-Tee info stamped into concrete (just hole # and par)
Cons: -Hazards, throw at the playground on 3 and over it on 4
-No amenities
-Very out of the way location
Other Thoughts: Pilot Mound DGC plays in the small central Iowa town of Pilot Mound (Pop approx 168). A one square block park at the south end of town provides many trees to work around on this 5 hole course. You can work multiple lines on most holes with an edge of trees along the right of #2 and the street along the right of #5. A minor concern is the playground plopped in the middle of the #4 fairway. If there are patrons at the playground, this may provide an issue, but it is a quiet town and I saw no one else in the park for my 2 rounds. As mentioned before, there is a lone gas station in this little town, so have some in the tank before you arrive (there are a few options within 15-20 miles). I enjoyed my quiet rounds, but the location would prevent a return trip unless I'm hitting other courses in the area.

Pros: -Great Baskets
-Cement tees with distance, hole # and Par
-Old trees provide a little challenge
-Well maintained with mowing and general clean up
-No chance to lose a disc here
-Great chance to bring new players and practice your shorter drives, approaches and putting.
-Get some aces and birds!
Cons: -It is only 5 holes
-If anybody else was here you would have to be careful but I don't think this would be a problem most of the time.
-Get gas, water, food, etc before you come. I almost ran out of gas because the one old-style gas station was closed when I tried to go there at about 7 pm.
Other Thoughts: This is just a small small park in a small small town. There isn't really anything wrong with the course but you just can't give a 5 hole course that good of a rating. I think it is good exposure for the sport and it may get some kids involved at a young age. I don't know if I would recommend stopping here to play because it is off the beaten path but I don't think you would be too mad if you did decided to stop here as long as you keep in mind that this course is only 5 holes and they aren't very long!

Pros: Concrete tees, new DGA Mach 5 targets
Cons: Only 5 holes (very short, too), no tee signs, no distance signage,
Other Thoughts: It's a very small park in a very small town, so 5 holes is all that will realistically fit. There is a slide and a merri-go-round that come into play on one of the holes. Otherwise, the park is devoted to disc golf. There is no parking lot, so you have to park on the street. Unfortunately, the street comes into play on the last hole. Holes vary in distance from 170' to 250'. Reasonable challenge comes from large trees. Nearest refreshments to course are in Ogden, about 8.5 miles to the south.
