Pros: Like most have stated, the baskets and signage are second to none. As a matter of fact, they just updated the signs making them even better. The ground is also spray painted with arrows leading you in the right direction. This course will test every shot in your arsenal!
Cons: This course will test every shot in your arsenal! To say that the fairways are narrow would be an understatement. Honestly, this is not a course for beginners. This course will penalize any shot not directly down the middle. Bring a chainsaw!!
Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a challenge, this is it. If you want a nice relaxed round of Disc Golf...seek another course! This one is a beast!!

Pros: Very well marked; posts at each tee box show the hole location. Great combination of wide open and tight, narrow holes. Not too far from Fairbanks, and easy to find.
Cons: No permanent tee boxes; mosquitoes are a nuisance, and the constant threat of bears and moose.
Other Thoughts: Bring bug dope! Also, come in a group of two or more to help fend off the wildlife. It's one of the best courses Alaska has to offer!

Pros: Variety of elevations, approaches and lengths, well marked and easy to follow
Cons: No tee boxes, need a sign between 9 and 10
Other Thoughts: Home course and after traveling and playing on some 3 and 4 rated courses, imo it's right up there in quality

Pros: Very friendly people at Birch and you can play 24 hours a day during June and July. Disc golf is still a growing sport in Fairbanks so the course is never congested.
Cons: The course is played on ski trails, so permanent tee pads are not possible. When wet the tee boxes can get very slick but playing in the elements is part of what makes the game challenging, so who needs a concrete tee box anyways? This is Alaska!
Other Thoughts: Birch Hill is relatively narrow with the exception of the first two holes. Wide variety of holes for different throws including two holes that have 2 fairways letting you choose the route you desire. Check out the course in late September or in early October and you may have an opportunity to play at night in the snow as all the holes are lit up with light system.

Pros: The Front Nine has wide open fairways giving players the chance to really rip some long drives. The back nine is a little tighter with more trees giving players good diversity in one course. Lots of options for left or right hand throwers along with sidearm or forehand throwers.
Cons: No water holes. The High School X country teams practice here and can be hard to avoid at times.

Pros: It's in Alaska! Good course to visit if you happen to be traveling and want to get some disc golf in. People are very friendly and happy to play a few rounds. Has some good holes to really test your arm.
Cons: It's on a cross country ski trail so they have dirt tee boxes. If you're not in the fairway on some holes (like the new back 9) you're pretty much screwed. Back nine still needs some work, but they just got them in this year.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend people to come play the course if they are in town. I enjoyed playing while on vacation. I met some great people and I can't wait to see what they can do to it in a few more years when I'm back in town.
