Lots of nice holes. A good mix of open holes vs. wooded holes. Good mix of hyzer and anhyzer shots. Creative names for bridges like "Bridge of Death", "Bridge of Doom", etc. #4 has a cool drop zone: it's a diving board like extension out over the pond.

#15 is a wicked hole that takes a very good low RHBH hyzer with a decent skip down the alley to put you in any position to think about a birdie. Most players are lucky to get a '3' on this hole.

You *must* have a map to figure out which tees play to which baskets. The only permanent tee markers are small obscure bricks. Several of the holes play too close together in that players throwing at the basket have a chance of hitting players teeing off on the next hole. #13 to #14 is the worst case of this. The ditch along the back of the course has some wicked foliage, you'd be wise to stay out of it. The OB area on #11 promotes a tee shot that can come dangerously close to a house. #18 is an slight uphill shot that is blinded to the road by a house, be careful.

The course makes good use of two properties out in suburbia. The nine baskets have two sets of tees, but not the traditional "Alt" type of tees. The course is intended to be played in one direction from tees #1-9, then you turn around and play back the opposite way from tees #10-18. (There are reportedly traditional Alt tees for each hole as well.) Obviously you'd want everyone on the course playing only one direction at a time.

Most of the baskets are lower end InStep baskets with inner chains added. Those baskets might bother some people, but I think they're fine. There's also one homemade basket (for #1) on which you do need to take extra care when putting.

I enjoyed my rounds on this course a lot. I found it to be a great mix of open, long throwing holes and shorter, tighter, wooded holes. The pond doesn't play a large factor in that the crossing distance (#15) is pretty short and unless you fade hard right on #4 you should stay dry. But watch out for the gator. The OB areas make this course harder than you might first expect.

The more I play this course the more I appreciate the variety of holes and challenges. It's about as good as you'd expect for a course in someone's back yard. Better baskets and real tee signs would bump this to a 4 star course and if the course had more land and was also 18 baskets eliminating the forward/backward issue I'd consider giving it 4.5 stars.
