Out of bounds nightmare 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 22, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well maintenanced and developed course with proper signage and hole information. It also is a long course with elevation changes, yet lots of fairways and a convenient practice area which is separate from the course. The course, itself, is primarily for the sport, so not a lot of interference from pedestrians.

Cons:

The course is challenging for two main reasons: long distances and rigorous boundary zones. Certain holes are very narrow, so on a windy day you might have to sacrifice distance and focus on safe, accurate game play. Holes in the wooded areas can be quite difficult, so struggled to make par can get the best of you. In this respect, certain parts of the course are well suited for competition and long, accurate throwers.

Other Thoughts:

So far this is the best course I have played in Finland. It is well designed and marked well. However, the boundary/out of bound zones make the course a little bit too challenging, so it takes away from the fun of it all. Wind is a huge factor on this course, and so is your game strategy. I recommend playing it safe and relying on good putting to help make par and avoid out of bound penalties.
