Pros: Sweet sign off the road for the course
Parking lot just for disc golf
Nice map next to the first tee
Good signs
Cement tee pads on all the holes
Cons: Some pretty long holes for a 9 hole course on a university campus.
Other Thoughts: I have played several college campus courses, this has to be one of the better ones.

Only a 9 hole course, there are enough trees and elevation to make the course fun and interesting.

Pros: Quality baskets, good signage, course map, easy to follow flow, good tee boxes, easy to tell where you are throwing, easy to play for the first time without a map. Fun subtle elevation changes. Fairways are well designed with what the designer had to work with. Love the elevated basket on hole 8.
Cons: No major negatives other than the land that it is on is limited and trees to work with to create challenging holes are limited. The only challenge on this course is the distance on some of the holes. Only 9 holes makes for a quick round.

I was expecting a well maintained course from other reviews but the grass was pretty tall and completely took away any and all skips, which takes away a major factor of the game that I am used to.
Other Thoughts: Good course for what was available to design a course with.

 Simple 9-hole course

Pros: Very we'll maintained course. Baskets are all real nice with the added purple tops for the ACU colors. A couple different elevated throws. #1 and #7 throw from way up high down low. #6 incorporates a big boulder for the basket. They did a great job with the land space and obstacles. It's isn't too simple you won't have fun if your more a pro. Ace runs on #7 and #8. Plus a monster hole #5, 600+ ft! Great practice course to get better with some challenges.
Cons: It's hard to give cons about this course. It's a 9-hole course that's done a great job with the land and space it has. But I will say some holes seem repetitive. Only 1 man do that really is your only challenge of the course. Could have incorporated more mandos or some sort of obstacles like the boulder. Wish it could be 18.
Other Thoughts: Overall very nice course kept clean and maintained. It's is way on the northeast side of town so can be a bi of a drive. It is for sure a course I will continue to play once or twice a week. Makes for great practice and a chance to try out new disc as we'll. If your near the area or haven't been I would strongly recommend going.

Pros: Great Concrete Tees
Awesome Teesigns (with Next Tee arrows)
Nice Discatchers (Band was purple for school colors)
Big Next Tee Signs where needed
Parking right next to #1 Tee and #9 Basket
Well Mowed/kept (clean)

Good Distance Variety (230ft-650ft)
Great use of land available
Good elevation change (love #1 Top of the World)
Decent elevation variety (up/down/flat/sloping greens)
Good Use of what obstacles they have (#6 basket on a rock ++)
A few forced lines
A couple of Ace Runs

Favorite Hole(s): #1, #7
Cons: Few or no Trashcans (carry in/carry out, its not that hard people)
Very few lines to hit, mostly just throw however you like
Almost no risk/reward
Seemed a little repetetive
Other Thoughts: All in all this is a "Good" course. A fun stop while in Abilene. I wouldn't travel out of my way very far just to hit this course. Worth playing if you are in Abilene for other business or for a full day of disc golf. Play all of the Abilene courses for some great variety.

This course was hard to rate. While it was a nice surprise for a Campus 9-holer to have this length, there just isn't much other challenge. I think this course has 2.5 disc, Disc Golf. It also has 4.5 disc amenities. Since my "disc rating" is weighted very heavily to challenge and fun factor I only bumped it up a 1/2 disc for the absolutely great signage/tees/baskets.

They really did a nice job with the land they have. Play it if you are in the area.

PM me and let me know how I can make my reviews "more helpful."

Pros: I appreciated the quality signs, and tee pads. They have nice DISCatchers with a purple band which was pretty cool. Navigation is so easy because they have signs pointing you in the right direction in the only confusing spot( when you are wanting to play hole 3 it is further to the right not the tee pad right there, but there is a sign with an arrow for"next tee"). I like how they used as much elevation as they could, it starts with hole 1 shooting a little down hill. Hole 6 is on a hill and elevated on a giant rock. 7 is shooting down the hill( sort of by that building0. 8 is located on a slope and 9 you have to throw over a tiny hill right of the tee pad and the basket is on a hill. They make use of all the trees available as well. Hole 2 is pretty tight shot. Where even hole 4 has a double mando so you are splitting the gap. I really liked how this wasn't a pitch and putt 9 holer but had some distance with 3 holes over 400ft and hole 5 being a 650ft hole.
Cons: There aren't to many cons except the parking lot says "student parking only" ( no one bothered me). As I mentioned before, I really think the purple bands are unique but when it is getting later in the day they are a little hard to see, when the sun is almost gone. I would imagine this course would get a little repetitive if was played year around because there is a line and you take it, there isn't to much shot variety; however, when driving threw Abilene I found it quite enjoyable.

Pros: Perfect blend of short and long drives as well as challenging elevation changes. I like the elevated and hillside baskets that demand strategy when putting from distance. Nice view of downtown Abilene. Like how most baskets are "down in the hole" which helps a little with the brutal wind. Excellent maps and signs.
Cons: It's not lit at night.
Other Thoughts: My favorite of the Abilene Courses.

Pros: Designed by Jay "Yeti" and Des.
Great use of the land
Great for people just starting out as there is no water hazards
Cons: Some wide open holes
Lots of long drives
Real quick play
Other Thoughts: If you want to see what this course would look like as an 18 Course, then every year the Abilene Disc Golf Association puts on the "Wild Hair". The wild hair uses Cal Young and the Wildcat DGC, and with the ACU course memebers personally loan out their baskets to complete the course and make it 18. The layout is always sorted out and tested the week prior as a last min fundraiser.

 Decent Course

Pros: - Fantastic Tee Signs
- Kinda Woody
- Good Course Positioning in Land
- Has a couple of fun holes
- Concrete Tees
Cons: - 9 holes
- On edge of bad part of town
- Gopher Holes "WATCH OUT"
Other Thoughts: Not a bad course. Could be dolled up a bit with flowers or a small water hazard. 6 is on a large boulder which was fun. Hole 1 starts within 40 feet of hole 9's end. The hills are fun to play around. I wouldn't travel for this one but if your in Abilene, it's worth a quick throw through.

 Fun Little Course

This course is very well marked. There was no question about where to go. Only in one place would I have thought the tee was a different tee, but there was a big 'ole sign pointing to the correct tee.

The course is very well maintained. Pretty much a perfect lawn. It was nice for a game, but could get boring if you had to play it over and over.
Mostly wide open shots. There are a couple fun little trees to avoid but not many. And a lot of the trees you could just throw over them to avoid them.

Although it didn't seem to be an issue, there was a sign at the parking that said "student parking only." I found this a little odd. We played on a Sunday, so it was no problem, but I don't know if they would hassle you on any other day.
Other Thoughts: All in all a very nice course. Some really fun long shots. The shorter shots are maybe missing some hazards and are a little easy, but it's nothing to complain about. I certainly enjoyed playing such a well kept course though.

 Well-Designed Course

Pros: Extremely well-marked and well-kept all the time, and a good mix of distances. Interesting factors: crazy wind, a couple of elevation changes, one mando, and a couple of holes that require unique shots to progress.
Cons: Most of the holes are wide open (with 2 exceptions), so the course is not very challenging. Also, because it's only a 9-hole course, it can get boring after a few rounds.
Other Thoughts: There are expansion plans for the course, but it will probably be at least a year before they start. This course should be given 5 stars for beginners, and 2.5 stars for more advanced players. Great place to learn to play, but not one to go back to time and time again.
If mandos and obstacles were added to the course, it could be a great course. Perhaps during the expansion project, they will make it more challenging.
