A good walk in the park 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 17, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Cement tee pads both Red and the longer White
Tee signs
Course map near hole 1
Water comes into play
A few "gimmick" holes to make it fun

Cons:

Plenty of wide open shots
Quite a bit of walking between some of the holes. (specially from the "White" tee's)

Other Thoughts:

This is a decent small town course that does have some good holes. Unfortunately it is a smaller park with many other park users that can come into play.

The Kiosk is in the middle of the park and it is a short walk over to hole 1. Now I am going to review the White (long) tees because those were the ones I played. Most of the basket locations were in the shorts.

First thing you will notice is that you are throwing over a walking path. Now there are not a lot of tree's so it is easy to see walkers/joggers, but even at 11am on a Monday afternoon, I had to wait to throw on more than one of the holes for safety.

Hole #3 has a raised basket, then a long walk to tee 4.

One of the things I got frustrated with on this course was some of the long walks. From #4 basket, to get to White #5 tee, you walk back past #4 White tee and cross the parking lot/road.

Hole #6 has a triple mando set up.

Hole #8 has a "hanging" basket that is on a swivel. I guess the basket is where ever the wind pushes it.

Hole 9 has several Mondo's keeping you from throwing over the baseball field.

Holes 11 to 14 work your way around the lake.

Now for holes 16, 17 and 18, you got to pay attention to the tee signs. The Red and White tee's are not really close to ech other on these holes.

Hole #16 White, you have to walk around a small section of the pond and throw over it. Then you walk almost back to the kiosk to come back to throw 17 basket, then for 18 you walk back towards 16's tee to throw across the other side of the lake.

The Red tee's are not so crazy for these 3 holes.

Would I play here again? Yea, this course is worth playing. It's not the best course, but it's not the worst either. There is not much to work with and it makes the best of it.

FYI, free pizza if you find my Yeti Aviar in the pond behind basket 18

Nice(far walks and flat) 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 13, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

The park is nice and well mowed. Nice baskets and map and sign. Good tee pads

Last holes some fun water use

Cons:

The walks are awful. Between pin and next tee. Sometimes you walk across huge parts of the park just to get to next hole.

Flat

Other Thoughts:

PARK at end near 18 not near sign end of park is between 18 and 1

disapointed 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 13, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

20 Minutes from my house

Cons:

2 Stolen baskets
confusing basket placement
Some throws are over a walk/run track so the chance of hitting someone is higher.

Other Thoughts:

had someone put better thought into this course it could be worth more frequent drives. As is i think that Lvt just wanted to say they had a disc golf course just to say they had one..

Not worth your time 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 15, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

The ducks that want food...

Cons:

No tee boxes, no signs, no course map, no indications of locations of baskets or tees, got yelled at for trying to save my disc from drowning, only seven baskets, not maintained, no grass, all dirt

Other Thoughts:

Some dude kept following us around and looked like he was going to do something bad to us so we had 911 on speed dial...it sucked...was not worth going to, and I feel that if they moved the baskets to the Hobbs park it would be more worth while...

not too shabby 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 25, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Great placement of baskets and use of space.
About four wholes are next to the "lake".
no one in town plays so there is no waiting in line.
great for a first time player or playing with the family.

Cons:

Would have rated much higher if there were tee pads and nine more wholes.

Other Thoughts:

The course is well maintained. On holes eight and nine you are likely to be surrounded by about fifty ducks who assume you have bread to feed them.
