Lots of variety, lots of fun!

Pros: -Lots of variety in the hole styles
-Close to town, easy to find
-Often not super busy, don't wait on people hardly ever
-Very clean park, well maintained also
-Almost no Poison Ivy!
Cons: -Only 9 holes
-Wind will be a big factor if you play on a gusty day
-lots of evergreen trees, very little mercy if you throw into them
-tons of elevation changes
Other Thoughts: As stated above, if you play on a windy day you will have lots of crosswind on holes 3, 4 and 7. The wind channels through the valley of the park which makes these few open holes quite a doozy if you play on a windy day. Overall a great course that is always fun to play.

Pros: Variety - some holes in the thick woods, a LOT of elevation challenges.
Cons: Tough walk up from the parking lot!
Other Thoughts: Great course that plays pretty quickly. We were there on a moderately windy day and that added to the challenge.

 challenging course

Pros: Good variety of shots very tricky holes on most. huge elevation changes. easily the toughest course ive played which can be good or bad.
Cons: it was extremely muddy so it caused a hazard to where it is very easy to fall down a rocky hill and hurt yourself. some tees were hard to find and some baskets were hidden so well i had to scout them out before teeing off at each hole.
Other Thoughts: i would recommend this course for experienced players that have a high fitness level as it is long and you have to do some pretty serious hiking in between some holes.

 Gem tucked away in Manhattan!

Pros: Very nice nine hole course!! This was well worth the time. Even though it's only nine holes, it feels like a lot longer course due to the layout.

Great use of elevation!! Not everything is flat in Kansas, and this course proves it. Excellent job to the course designers for working with the land they had available.

Multiple pin positions keep it interesting. They also change the way you play many of the holes, which I really like to see. Signage is bright, clear, and in great shape. Big shout out to the course maintenance!

Great layout, with a great mix of open and tight shots. Although this park is super open and has one of the largest open areas in Manhattan, the designers used the the surrounding wooded areas expertly to really blend the course well. You forget how open it is most of the time you're playing.

Course was very well maintained, with tee pads, signs, and baskets in great condition when I played in July. Nobody there, however, it was also summertime in Manhattan so it's usually pretty slow.

Decent range of short and long shots. The 9th hole is absolutely gorgeous, with a nice shot over a large bluff to finish off the round.

Although this course is very close to most of the development over by Seth Child, it feels incredibly remote and makes for great gameplay.

While there are no benches ON the course that I saw, there is a nice area with a shelter that you can rest at before and after your round.

Very good maintenance! Well mowed, and generally well trimmed back. The trees that weren't trimmed just made for good obstacles.

Overall just a super enjoyable course design. I loved the way this course flowed, and it made for a super enjoyable round.
Cons: The navigation, especially towards the end of the course, can get choppy and frustrating. Nothing I couldn't handle, but it did make gameplay slightly frustrating. Some "next tee" signs would have been super helpful at the baskets.

A fair amount of the last part of the course does play close to itself, which could get annoying if there's a lot of people on the course.

While it IS a gorgeous park in my opinion, most of the course plays around the edges, so it doesn't have the "walk through the course" that you might expect at a longer course.
Other Thoughts: This course is located on the southwest edge of town, near the Target. The best way to find this course? Search for the Arby's, and then find the road behind it. You will see a small parking lot. Be advised, you do have to hike a bit to get to the first hole.

Even though this course is just nine holes, it was a super enjoyable play and really felt like a longer course than it was. I thoroughly enjoyed feeling like I was in the middle of nowhere. This course played super well, was very enjoyable, and very well designed. I can't wait to play it again! Happy discing!

Pros: Great 9 hole with a potential for another 9. Nice mix of shots and elevation. Appears to be pet friendly. Open shots, hyzer shots, annie shots, wodded shots, just a good mix for what it is.
Cons: Needs better signage. Small parking lot kind of tucked away. Flags on baskets would be nice.
Other Thoughts: Well worth playing if you are in the area. Can't wait until they add another nine (I'm sure it will eventually happen). HAPPY DISCIN!

 Short and technical

Pros: This course is a different animal from other courses in Kansas. The holes were short, most didn't go over 300 feet, but they were very technical. Often this meant throwing around pine trees(more dense than deciduous ones), throwing at very different elevations or both. If you play a lot of disc golf in Kansas, this course may provide a unique and different challenge not seen at most other courses in this state. A couple of holes sat on very big hills and provided and awesome view. Unlike Tuttle Creek this course requires more finesse and utility shots. Accuracy and creativity are definitely required to do well here.
Cons: My biggest complaint is how the baskets were arranged, they were often difficult to find. Sometimes it seemed like they weren't there. With it being my first time and from out of town this was very frustrating. The baskets should be marked better, out of town visitors would have a much better time. Next we played after Manhattan received about 5 inches of snow. Most of it had melted, but with there being no grass from the cold weather and pine trees making it impossible for anything to grow on the ground, there was a lot of mud. I'm sure this would happen after a good rain also. I'd recommend wearing a pair of shoes that you don't mind getting dirty or having a pair of cleats.
Other Thoughts: A lot of hiking was involved. You have to walk a ways before you get to the first hole, which is quite different. This course is only 9 but it would be interesting to see it turned into an 18 hole course. If you ever are near Manhattan and want a different kind of challenge give this course a go.

 Best course for miles around!

Pros: Brand new course so it is very nice and well maintained. This course is also on the far west edge of town up on a big hill and is very isolated. It is a very tranquil spot if you are up on the course by yourself or with few others. There are great elevation changes on this course, some up, some down. There are also a good mix of holes in the trees (mainly 1, 2, and 8) and out in the open. This course has two holes (4 and 9) that are teed from the very top of the highest hill, and this is not only a great place to tee off, but a beautiful view of the rolling hills as well. Number 9 will have you wanting to throw every disc you have from the tee as it is a 500' + bomb off of the top of the hill. Gorgeous area and course.
Cons: Tee pads are nice, but could be a little bigger. This is a great area, but there are no restrooms and I believe just one trashcan at the start. It is high on the outer hills so it can become very windy up here at times, making for a frustrating day. Parking and signs are a problem. If you don't know where this course is exactly, then you will not be coming across it. It is located behind business on the west end of town, and there are no signs for the course or parking area at all.
Other Thoughts: Park in the gravel parking area or by the Arby's (as there has been construction at times) if needed. It should be mentioned that you have to walk 1/4 mile or so up the hill on the trails to get to this course. Don't pass this up though, as it is totally worth the bad parking and little hike. This, I believe, is the most fun course in the area.

Pros: Easy to navigate, well maintained, great changes in elevation (especially for KS), very scenic tee boxes, good mixture of short and long. Most baskets are protected by elevation or trees.
Cons: Long hike to get to course, wind tunnels are unpredictable, parking is terrible. Would love to see 9 more fairways.
Other Thoughts: Solid course that uses elevation. Warner is a huge park so hopefully an expansion is in the works.

Pros: Small course with great challenge (uphills, downhills, right hooks and left hooks). On top of a hill so wind factors in as well. Nice concrete tee pads and signs were clearly marked as well.
Cons: Hole 1 and Hole 2 are in among heavy tree and require some/lots of luck or GREAT accuracy. I did kinda like this challenge but it can really hurt your round fast if you hit a few trees in a row.

 It was good exercise

Pros: This course has great views. The teeboxes are concrete and like new. Signage is good and offers a lot of tough elevation challenges you don't get in other courses in the area. The fairways are maintained. Chainstar baskets with bright neon flags. Offers good holes for both right/left hand throwers and backhands/sidearm throws. Picnic area is nice.
Cons: The driving situation and small parking behind the Arby's make for some confusion. The hike up the hill to the course was downright exhausting. I was unfortunate to play after some snow and rain so mud was everywhere. some steps or handrails would be nice. The layout is ok but most of the holes feel like the elevation changes are forced instead of natural.
Other Thoughts: I really enjoyed playing here despite the long hike and redundant elevated baskets and holes. The tree tunnels are no joke it will test your game despite not being long. Not a beginners course in anyway and not a course you play unless you want to get in a good hike as well.
