Pros: Baskets were in good shape
Cement Tee pads on both Short Red and Long White
Both short and long pin positions
broke in my cart on this course, pretty easy to get around
Course has a decent flow, pretty easy to follow
Cons: From the white tee's most of the holes were long, but not true par 4 holes
Very long walk from hole 9 to 10
Other Thoughts: West Texas is flat and wide open, it is good to find a course that is not that way.

While not a heavy wooded course, there are some huge tree's to throw around. There is a dry (well it was try today) creek bed in the park, the course makes good use of it.

I enjoyed the course other than playing from the White tee boxes, I was making par (3) on every hole. It was drive as far as I can, upshot and putt. As is true with most courses, the more open the hole was, the longer it was made for this course.

Best holes were 4, 16, and 18.

Hole 4 was a downhill shot with the basket in the long position across the creek.

Hole 16, another sort of downhill and across the creek shot with a nice defined fairway of trees.

Hole 18 throws down along the creekbed with a few different tight lines. I think this hole would be the signature hole.

Would I play here again?

Yea, I would not drive out of my way, but I would play here if in the area and wanted to get a round in. While not a stand out course, it is decent.

Pros: + Course sign at hole one.
+ Nice restroom on site.
+ Large concrete tee pads & Mach 5s.
+ Multiple concrete tees & pin locations for each hole.
+ Very visible distances and hole# painted on each tee pad.
+ Many mature trees scattered over course.
+ Clean park with manicured turf.
+ Well balanced for righties and lefties.
+ Tees and baskets are marked by visible iron numbers making navigation a breeze.
+ Small creek runs through middle of course making for challenging O.B.
+ Many baskets guarded by trees or shrubs.
+ 5 or 6 bomber holes.
+ Elevation changes on some holes make for great air time on downhill fairways.
+ Elevation changes and course length make for a great workout.
+ Course takes advantage of every square inch of the park.
+ A number of of tight fairways to keep everyone honest.
+ Small town park with friendly people.
+ R.V. Park on site.

Cons: - May be to open for the technical crowd.
- Concrete chunks line parts of the creek and become aesthetically unpleasing.
- West Texas wind.
Other Thoughts: Because l have only played this course two times during the morning on weekdays over the past two years I cannot comment on how busy the course becomes during prime throwing hours. But I can tell you this Colman disc golf course in Brownfield TX can become a throwers heaven when not busy. Large concrete tee pads and great baskets with beautiful challenging fairways with a graceful flow all enhance the DG experience. Moreover, there are two or three beautiful downhill fairways with great pin locations too empty the bag on. I really love this course and will go out of my way to play this course whenever I'm in Texas.

Side note - 36 miles to the south in the town of Lamasa, TX is another quality 18 hole course called Forrest Park. Coleman and Forrest Park where both designed by the same person Patrick Kitten. Each course seems to compliment the other and can make for a great day of disc golf.

Update: 3/9/2020. New ball field appears to have taken holes 10 and 11 out of the picture with no replacements as of yet. Walk from hole 9 to 12 is a thousand plus feet. Hope someone can redesign to keep this a 18 hole course.

 Great Course for West Texas

Pros: This was one of the most well laid-out and navigable courses I've played. Nice concrete tees for both rec and pro players were well marked by metal sign posts and the tees were marked in paint with the hole number, the distance, and a small arrow pointing in the direction of the basket.

Street signs point to hole #10, and there are even signs to warn park-goers of flying discs.

There are plenty of trees to provide a little bit of shot difficulty but not so many as to make it frustrating for newer players.

A few holes have elevation changes of a few tens of feet, making your drives a little more interesting than throwing across a flat open expanse like most of West Texas.

With the other aforementioned terrain comes a small creek running through the center of the park that caught more than one of my shots on my last round. However, both discs were still retrievable in the shallow depths.

The park itself is well maintained. Ants/bugs were never a problem and I never noticed any trash lying around.
Cons: Parking near the first tee is a bit limited, but there is more throughout the park.

There are no benches near the tees, and a few holes approach areas with a higher number of park-goers (i.e. baseball field, playground, etc.). The walk from hole #9 to hole #10 is a little long, but like the rest of the course is easily navigated.
Other Thoughts: All in all, I was very impressed with this course seeing as how it's in a smaller town than the close city of Lubbock. Although smaller, it competes with the nicer courses in the city quite easily, and has already become a favorite for me. Well worth the 30 minute drive from Lubbock and worth a break in your trip if your close enough to knock out a round.

Pros: This course was awesome. They have a map by the parking lot, and lots of trashcans. One of the best features about this course is the effort the designers put into the tee pads. There was 2 sets of tees, a rec tee and a pro tee. The white tees were pros and the red tees are for rec. Each tee has a sign next to it. The tee pads have each number on the pad, the distance, and an arrow pointing toward the basket. Each basket has a red painted loop( that holds the chains) to point toward the next tee pad. The course is so easy to navigate, there is a big gap from 9's basket to hole 10. But it is not a problem because there are two street signs pointing you in the right location. Also holes 4 and 6 had a nice bridge to get across the steep dried creek. The tee pads and baskets are in excellent condition. There was little to no trash throughout the course. There is a good mix of right/lefty holes, and a good mix of short and longer holes.
Cons: Hole 5 is close to a playground which is dangerous.Tee signs are always a bonus. No benches, but I came to play the course not sit on a bench so not a problem for me.
Other Thoughts: The course makes you hit a line but it is not too tight. I had a really good time at this course, One reason I rated the course so high was because the designers made it enjoyable because of the excellent tee pads/ baskets. It is also easy to navigate. The course is not too challenging, but it was a lot of fun. Some of my favorite holes include hole 1 and 9.

Pros: Soooooooo easy to navigate this course. Whoever though of those red and white markers on the baskets is a genius. There a lot of shade and no exreme thorny rough (as someone who plays is south texas I like not have extremerough). This was the third course I'd played this day so I played the shorts and slayed this course which probably adds to it high rating. I just really enjoyed the mix of open holes and canopy shots. Also lots of really really fun downhill shots. Got to bomb a few 500' shots with the wind and elevation. All the singange and course equipment was in good shape.
Cons: A lot of walking.
Other Thoughts: If you are passing near here play this course. Its worth the time.

Pros: Very well maintained course. Good Elevation change throughout the course, and great baskets and teepads. The teepads have hole number distance and arrow showing hole direction. Good mix of long and short holes. Easy to navigate if you pay attention to arrows on the baskets pointing to the next holes.
Cons: Course is sometimes to wide open, and also some holes are just plain straight shots which can become boring.
Other Thoughts: Course has a very good bathroom.

Pros: Nice, very well maintained park.
Top of the line baskets.
Pro and Rec tees on every hole. The Pro tees are very long (for run ups) and make the hole play significantly more difficult than the Recs.
Very clearly marked for navigation. I played by myself and had no problem finding tees and baskets on every hole. Tee pads had hole #, distance and an arrow pointing to the basket painted on them. Baskets had red painted on the them in the direction of the next tee.
Very nice restroom next to the fairway on #3.
Mature trees and elevation changes used cleverly by the designer. The baskets were usually guarded by large trees at the approach angles. Most of the elevation changes went downhill and the uphill holes were not punishing.
New bridges across the small (dry today) creek.
For those that like to air it out, mostly open from the tees.
Holes are separated, so errant throws won't affect players on another hole.
Unless you forget your disc and leave it behind, you will not lose a disc on this course.
Cons: With the exception of the very short first and ninth holes, not a technical course. There aren't obstacles near the tees to force lines. For the shot maker, the fairways are too wide open.
The playground on #5 is on the inside of a dogleg left. It's dangerous for children to play there.
There's no rough to make you pay for an errant shot. A good player will easily recover from a bad tee shot. (Bad shots aren't punished).
All courses in west Texas have stickers.
Some people might not like the long walks between holes.
Other Thoughts: Fun course for a quick round. I played in less than an hour. You don't have to search for your discs (no rough).

All of the trees in the park are large, older trees. Planting young trees to create fairways would increase the fun factor (already pretty high) for this course and make it pretty awesome in the future.

Right now, it's a big bombers dream course.

Pros: This is a challenging course. Lots of birdiable holes from the recs from #1 thru #9 and you better get em because your gonna need them from #10 thru #18 to keep your score down. The Whites are very challenging and will test all of your shot capabilities. Lots of time spent on design and tee boxes. And it shows! Very Nice!
Cons: Nothing really bad about this course. No Local Presence Yet? But im sure it will come though. They have a sweet Disc Golf Course Right Under Their Noses!!
Other Thoughts: Just played Tournament there and it was run smoothly and Professionally. Alot of time was spent on the course by the City Of Brownfield and Others. Great Job!

Pros: Really good course. Nice mixture of long and shorter shots with obstacles. I really enjoyed playing this course and will continue to return.
Cons: Back 9 has a lot of sticker, but this can be delt with by next spring. If the coure gets a ot of water the back nine will be hard to play unless there are some crossing built in.
Other Thoughts: I recommend this course to other players. New players that want to play a course that is a little more challenging need to try this out. Great job!
