Pros: The Course at Kaneland High School starts near the parking lot, plays around the football field's fence, then across a practice field, past the water tower before playing back to a basket right by the parking lot. The design is not terrible for a school course but I question having high schoolers trying to hyser around the fence without flying over it.

The baskets are Discatchers with the yellow rims and #s. The markings fir the tee pads are small little concrete patio blocks. A maintenance worker showed me # 1 was located. Flinging the rest would be impossible.
The first three holes all are big hysers around and close to the FB field fence.
Three Putt has a great idea. I wish I had thought of it. Throwing at the water tower and hearing the loud noise would have definetly been the highlight of my trip to good ole Kaneland High.
Cons: As is the case of any course on school grounds, the student have been beating up the equipment here. The # 3 basket is a little bent. The # 6 basket is trashed pretty good. Someone has been jumping up and down on the # 7 basket and it look as though, it has had multiple weld jobs putting it back together.

Three hysers shits in a row is not great design. Having the baskets so close to the fence is not safe either.

Some kind of a marked tee pad that you can find would be good.

Not playable during school hours or some athletic events.

Designed for beginner play. Not too much challenge for most players.

Course plays right through the discus and shot putt areas. And we disc golfers are worried about hitting someone with one of our light little frisbees. I don't want to get thumped by a 12 lb. shot putt.
Other Thoughts: It's great that some staff member members got this course installed. Now how about maintaining it? Start my installing a very simple tee pad of some sort. Maybe, just a front board that us visible enough for people to find.

The second simple little thing someone could do is to take some bright colored tape and tape the rung that faces the next tee.

As for the kids jumping on the baskets, I don't know? 24 hours security detail is probably asking too much. How about some profiling of the school's student population! All kids with black trench coats, black fingernails, and multiple piercings will not be allowed on school property after dark!

Itís more fun if you aim for the water tower.

Pros: Kaneland High School has nine baskets set around the football field and in an empty field between the football and baseball fields. Is a decent school course and probably does a good job at what it tries to do. The shots are short with not a ton of obstacles, but designed well enough that you are not just chucking in an open field. The baskets are in a high-visibility area, so it does double duty in exposing the students and some spectators to disc golf. The DisCatchers are very rusty but still catch well.
Cons: So far as rating it as a course, it's not good. The tees are hard to find and for the most part are right by the previous baskets. There are three "hyzer around the fence" shots in a row (#2/3/4) and the end of the #4 fairway and start of the #5 fairway overlap. #9 (I think) is designed for you to tee between two street signs and shoot down a gravel road (which I didn't do.) It needs a mando to keep you to the right and in the grass. The design brings you too close to roads/fences to be considered safe; they could have used more of the open area of the field and avoided these conflicts.
Other Thoughts: When school is in session and/or athletic events are going on, this course is unplayable.

In the middle of hole #8 is a huge water tower. Discs make a really cool "DONG" sound when they hit the base of the water tower; playing #8 as an object hole is an option. Just sayin'.

Pros: - Course is set on the grounds of a high school, so there are plenty of places where interference is possible. As long as school is out, and nobody's practicing discus or shotput, it should be fine.
- A decent amount of trees to make things interesting here, as well as man-made obstacles like fences and a large water tower. #1 and #2 play very close to a fence, #3 and #4 have thick pine trees to go around. #6 and #8 force lines around obstacles, and #9 long has a fence on the left and trees on the right. Definitely needs a certain type of shot on these holes.
- Some tricky pin placements here. #1 and #2 are very close to the fences, #4 is tucked inside some pine trees, and #6 is in front of more large pines. Definitely adds challenge.
- #9 from the actual tee marker is a beast of a hole, probably around 400' with a window to hit. There is a lot of extra junk in the way (street signs, etc.), though, there's no shame in playing the short tee.
- Good baskets, tee markers are in the ground and can be tricky to find. Not impossible though.
Cons: - Course is extremely hyzer heavy. #1, #3, and #4 are all pretty much RHBH hyzer only, and #3 and #5 are best suited to that shot. Every hole except #9 is hyzer friendly.
- Lots of man-made stuff, like fences, and paved/gravel roads, this course is definitely rough around the edges.
- Tee markers can be close to the baskets, and aren't pointed in the right direction in some cases. Better than nothing though.
Other Thoughts: - A fun little course, there are a lot of hyzers but they are all pretty different. Some long, some very sharp, some blind, it's not too bad, especially for a high school course. Perfect for beginners (don't throw over the fence on #9 though!), ok for everyone else.

Pros: I love seeing courses on school campuses, between the middle and high schools a lot of students could be exposed to the sport. The hole lengths and difficulties are appropriate for kids trying out the sport, nothing too long so that beginners will get frustrated, but some that offer enough challenge to keep improving players interested. The baskets are fairly new looking, and catch well. The property is well maintained with no vandalism or trash.
Cons: The biggest issue I have with the course is the safety of the design. Most of the holes bring the parking lot, service drives or athletic fields into play, including a couple holes playing where errant shots could easily go into the fenced in football field. The course is obviously unplayable during school hours or during athletic events. It's a pretty short, basic course, so don't play expecting much of a challenge unless you're just starting out. There are several wide open holes, and the couple that aren't don't really force any interesting lines, they just have a couple trees in play.
Other Thoughts: This is clearly designed as a school course for beginners, and to that end it's pretty good. The holes will encourage beginners to try some different things and are reasonable lengths. Experienced players won't find any challenges or enough variety to make it interesting, but that's not who it was designed for. I did rate this course on the same scale as all the other courses I've played, if I were rating just courses designed for kids like this, Kaneland would fare pretty well.
