Pros: #2 is a 2nd 18-hole course recently installed in Valentine Park. It is mostly in the woods, but there are some open holes mixed in, and these are quite long (and very tough in a strong wind.) There is a good bit of elevation here used effectively on both open and woods holes.

On site with Valentine #1, making for 36 holes at one park. (parking area for #2 is on down the road past course #1) This is a very nice complement to the first course and it has its own character despite being in the same area as the other one.

Locals were very nice helping us to find our way to and around the other course.
Cons: Natural tees and simple tee signs. Right now the course is still new and needs some time the break in, especially the woods holes. #1 plays over the road, which is not busy, but is always a dangerous way to design a hole.

A couple of the open holes literally have no obstacles and are boring. Good for those who need some room to let one rip and #1 makes for a warm-up hole I suppose, but these are not great and really just act as fillers to get to and from the woods from the car.

The park and course itself appeared a little run down and neglected. Many of the other people driving through the park looked suspicious and sort of made you feel uncomfortable; especially knowing you would be leaving your vehicle parked in an area that hardly resembled a parking lot.
Other Thoughts: I hope concrete tees and permanent signs are in the plans for the future. We did not have too many problems with navigation as the paths and fairways were already getting worn in from play.

It is hard to give this a thorough assessment since it is still fairly new, so I am rating this course basically on hole design and that it is on site with another course. But based on how #1 does not seem to get much maintenance, I am not sure how many improvements will be made to #2

Pros: Has best of both worlds. Long open holes and some very tight wooded holes. Few wooded holes are tough. Tough holes for RH LH throwers.
Cons: No Tpads yet so it can be slippery in morning and in rain. Not finished, they are still trimming wooded holes so some don't really have a fairway.
Other Thoughts: One of my favorite course. One of the toughest in this area. Once its finished it should be awesome.

Pros: New course in location with another course. From memphis area not a bad drive and now there is 2 courses there. Pretty good mixture of wooded and open.
Cons: So far very hard to navigate if you dont have a map. Front 9 is fairly easy. holes 2-8 seem to be the same shot over and over just uphill to downhill. Back 9 is a lil rediculously tight. Some holes have no fairway. But this is to be expected since the course is brand new.
Other Thoughts: This course will get better as time goes by and will become a great place to go. With Edmund Orgill not far you could get 3 good rds in a day.
