Best course in Roswell

Pros: 18 hole course that has water, terrain, and vegetation throughout. The front 9 are relatively short holes while the last 9 start to make some good distance shots. The course is easily marked and followed with the exception of 12-13-14. They seem a little jumbled and I completely missed 13 the first time I played.
Cons: Since it is in a park you have to be aware of people biking or walking. Once there was a soccer team practicing around 17-18.
Other Thoughts: This is the best disk course around Roswell. If you're traveling through, it's worth the time to play the course.

Pros: Reading the reviews before playing here, I was worried about the signage of the tees and getting lost. Fortunately, there was a paper map located at the welcome sign that led me throughout the course with no problems. Yes, there are some holes that are incorrectly marked or not marked at all but I've uploaded the paper course map here that will not lead you astray. It shows you both the advanced and amateur tees.
- Good for FH and BH throwers
Cons: I'm not a course snob by any means so it's rare that I say anything beyond "wish it had more shade". Every course is unique and this course is no different.
-Some tees are smaller
Other Thoughts: If you're driving through, definitely worth stopping in and playing. Use the paper map I've uploaded and it'll save a lot of frustration

Decent City Course

Pros: This is a decent 18 hole course running through a city park.

All baskets were in good condition. There are two concrete teepads for each hole (labeled Rec and Advanced). From the Rec pads most holes are in the 200' - 400' range, while the Advanced pads offer 8 holes over 400' with a max of 555'.

I played most recently on 9/1/2017 and found new tee signs at both pin positions on every hole. The "pro" sign posts have a blue cap and the "rec" sign posts have a red cap making it easy to tell from a distance where to go. The signs have a nice hole diagram along with all of the expected par and distance information. Great improvement.

Though the course is relatively flat, there is a good mix of long and short holes, and good use of the available trees, mounds and drainage swales in the park.

There are dozens of newly planted trees, and as they grow and mature the challenge of several holes will increase significantly.

Good sized parking area with a kiosk. A large detailed map is posted in the kiosk.

There were a couple of restrooms available on the course.
Cons: The Pro teepads are the older, smaller pads, while the Rec teepads a big new trapazoidal pads. Would be nice to have bigger pads on the long tees.

Navigation can be tricky in spots.
A few of the tee signs are from an older layout and have previous (incorrect) hole numbers on them. Many of the baskets have no number, which adds to the confusion. I understand that these are issues only for the first-time user, but they could be easily resolved.
Other Thoughts: The new tee signs clear up most of my cons from a previous review. The infrastructure is now solid.

The course is mostly flat and open, so not the most challenging. But they've done a great job with what they had to work with.

Great course for practicing your rollers!

 Fun course, bad signage

Pros: Nice, open course.
Plays easy for anyone with a decent RHFH flick.
Signs that do exist are very detailed (Appear to be composed by city engineering dept)
Cons: Challenge to navigate with oddly hit/miss signs
Designers appear to have forgotten about RHFH throwers with the design and mandos.
Some tee pads are very small. Long legs make them almost pointless.
Other Thoughts: Signage disagrees with the score card both here on DGCR and at the sign at the parking lot.
Signs are random. good luck navigating.

Pros: The first four holes play through an undeveloped mostly dirt area. It gives these holes a "desert" feel that looks a lot like the desert around Roswell. The majority of the holes play through a well maintained city park that runs through aneighborhood. It actually spans out over quite an area. The park is mainly flat and open.
Cons: While the holes over the park are fine, they quickly start to look a lot like other city park DGC's.

Navigation is very difficult. Some of the tees have signs, some don't. Some of the baskets are unnumbered. There are very nice signs put up by the city pointing you in the direction in some places, and other holes leaving you to completely guess which pads and baskets go together.

There are several mandos that eliminate the open RHBH shots. They seem to have forgotten the existence of forehanders, as their shots are left completely unobstructed. A forehander has an open shot on nearly every hole.
Other Thoughts: There's some sort of bird around holes 16 and 17 that swooped down and buzzed us several times. From reading other reviews this seems to be a pretty regular occurrence, so I thought it worth mentioning.

Pros: The first four holes of Enchanted Lands DGC plays through a dirt vacant lot type area. This area has a kiosk at the start with a map and the usual course information although most of the locals seem to park over by 10 and play the course starting there. I was the only one parked by #1 and the kiosk. These first 4 holes feature over-sized teepads, nice informative tee signs and a mostly open, windy area. Someone has planted trees but they are a few years away from affecting your throws. There are older baskets here with red numbers on top.
Then starting at # 5, the course plays into a nice grassy park. The teepads become smaller, signs are less common. Some are faded paint on the pads. There are quite a few long, straight throws over expanses of grass. It's a great place to bring out that roller disc. There are two pads on every hole. The advanced/longer pad usually adds about 50-75' to the hole length.
The course seemed to do a good job of avoiding the other park users.
Cons: The course is almost totally flat. There aren't a lot in the way of obstacles. There are a couple of mandos to throw around. The dirt portion (holes1-4) isn't particularly pretty.
The wind was a factor today. I think it might be a factor many days here.
Other Thoughts: It's certainly not a technical course. Big arms will have an advantage here.

When I checked my GPS to see how far from my hotel the course was, I was surprised to see that the course was one (1) minute away. Actually it more like 30 seconds. So like they say in real estate, Location, Location, Location!

Pros: Thought it was just a nine hole but now has eighteen so that was cool. Aliens must have did it. The holes Ron really well through the park. I really like the blind shot on ten.
Cons: First four holes are very rough but then they turn out well.
Other Thoughts: Great for a quick round.

Pros: -course is fairly easy to navigate and to play quickly
-good variation of shot types and distances
-concrete tee pads
-nice grass throughout the park that the course runs through
-fun course to play for beginers, and vets
-nice baskets
-good layout brings you back to the start of the round

Cons: -course is very straight forward and nothing makes it stand out
-several of the fairways have water in them, but shouldn't be a problem unless your having a bad day
-the new holes are hard to find and were not on the map yet
Other Thoughts: Good place to get a quick fun round in. Don't stay to long or you might start seeing ufo's.

Pros: Int. Player: Course was challenging but forgiving. What the course didn't have in hazards it made up for in OB's. Has potential to be a really nice course.
Cons: Holes 18, 1, 2. 3. & 4 need some work (pretty rough). Some water in the creek will help too.
Other Thoughts: Keep up the work and I'm sure next year the course will be outsanding. Really enjoyed the recent tourney. Thanks

Pros: Easy to get in a quick game
Cons: Not a lot of obstacles or variety of shots required
Other Thoughts: I played this course while on vacation. I only found the first 9 holes, but had no problem finding those. Course is laid out so that you finish near the parking lot you start at. There are a couple of holes where you have to make shots around overgrowth, but not many. Most are really open and you can throw straight at them. This does make it a pretty easy course, but also one that you can play very quickly if you don't have a lot of time. The hawk, or pretty large bird that resides in the tree between the 6th & 7th fairways is alive and well. I'd forgotten about him being noted in earlier reviews until he started his divebomb runs. Overall, the course is a nice little course to play if you're in the area and just want to get a quick game in.
