If you're down there 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 6, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well maintained course
Enjoyable low stress/challenge course
Nice setting that's a departure from normal courses
Map available at pro shop

Cons:

All but a few holes are just straight shots
Teepads are treacherous at times being so short, we ended up teeing off on the grass next to them.

Other Thoughts:

This course is definitely not a destination one. it's nice but not worth going out of your way to get there but if you're in the area and want to throw a round, well it's there.

I ended up here when my girlfriend wanted to take a nice weekend trip through the area, we played here and ended up eating at Merroir Tasting Room across the Rappahannock river. The course was actually really nice for that, she doesn't have a huge arm and is a novice so the open and relative ease of the course made for a good time. Nothing else really to say about the place, probably not the best review but it's really just some baskets some a flat par 3 golf course.

Fun Combo course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 20, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Fun course to play alongside ball golf - we did rounds against ball golfers from same tee's. One round was a combo of ball/disc golf teams. Some of the holes were 125 yards, some only 70. Nice chance to work on distance.

Cons:

Wide open, trees were only marginally in play. Grass tee pads were slippery when wet.

Other Thoughts:

Interesting concept. Convenient distraction while staying at hotel for work team building. Good opportunity to introduce co-wrokers to disc golf.

great idea 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 25, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Course is set along hotel grounds. Shares fairways with a chip and putt golf course. All golfers both Frisbee and otherwise were respectable and chill. Hotel offered discs for use for free to guests. Discs also available for sale in hotel store. Its just an easy little 9 hole good place to practice your approach and putting skills.

Cons:

Totally flat and very open. Not very challenging.

Other Thoughts:

Its awesome to see a hotel cater toward frisbee golf players. I would love to see this become a trend elsewhere.
