Pros: • Long tight lines through mature tall trees and some low lines w/a short canopy forcing some hard shots. Multiple true par 4's making you play the par because the rough is rough but the fairway is there some needing a bit of mowing and work but it was great.
• Some open bomber holes but start in the trees get your birdies and pars when you can this is definitely not a beginners course
•Tee signs and next tee arrows or tape on basket showing direction, Real Tee Pads!! Distance marked and accurate with multiple pin positions it was longs when we played which made this a pretty epic course.
•Easy parking at community center which had restrooms and you cross back through on 13 but bring lots of water we took a long time but we also were walking holes before throwing which is pretty necessary if never played on long pins at least, and definitely spot if your throwing in a group who's never played course
•Good baskets
•Lots of signature holes with good use of water and danger with some awesome elevation change holes 3,4,6,7,15,18 I really liked.
Cons: •pokey stubby thick rough in some spots
•some lines were super super tight needs a bit of work
•wasn't sure what mando was on 17
•pins need a big flag or pole on top of basket and you wouldn't have to walk so far on some of the holes to see basket
Other Thoughts: I really enjoyed the course and thought it had a great mixture of shots and really made you play your own game, sometimes safe 'cuz the holes were so hard, and grab some discs you don't usually grab out the bag. It really was a Texas course with cacti and desert feel on some shots but then a bit of water and rocks with elevation on a lot of holes and tight low line canopy shots before you get to really open up your arm in the open windy holes. I would play this course again and all the time if I was a local and I hope they keep working on this and the other course on property this could be a real destination spot!!

Pros: Great variety of shots from wooded technical shots to a few open bomber holes. Very challenging course. Short and long basket locations on several holes.
Cons: Update....tee signs are up with directions to the next tee.
Other Thoughts: Locals refer to this course simply as Lakeside. The other course in the park is Parkside. All roads are OB The first 3 holes are short and tightly wooded. Number 4 gives you a chance to breathe a little and open it up. Then 5 puts a stop to that. Back in the woods. Very tight opening, going slight left to right. Fairway opens a little before doglegging slightly left towards the basket. 6 is a double dogleg, hard left then hard right with the basket on an anthill. There is an overhead opening from the tee but it's difficult to hit. 7 opens back up with a long open tee shot toward the dam. The short basket is on top of the dam but the long position is over the dam and about a 100' drop to the other side. Anywhere on that side of the dam that's not grass is OB. 8 goes back over the dam and over a spillway that is @100+ feet wide. OB anywhere in the spillway. 9,10,11 are back in the trees. 10 is the hardest on the course. Very long in the long position. Tight fairway with a 90 degree right to left bend. 11 is mando under the tree directly in front of the tee. Another tight fairway. 12 is long and you have to throw @250 across a pond with large trees on the opposite side, then @300 feet to the basket. 13 opens back up but is very long as well. @500'. Basket is tucked into the mesquites on the left. 14 throws over "cactus alley" toward the spring. 15 is the signature hole. No tee pad but there's a cut where we throw from. About 325' with the basket elevated on a 20' cliff. In the spring and summer months there's water short of the cliff. 16 is a long walk across the road and is a basic straight fairway with a few trees. 17 is another TIGHT mando off the tee into a tree filled fairway with OB on the road left. *note* past the fence behind the basket is OB. 18 is downhill and about 650'. Basket is guarded on all sides by large trees.

Pros: Plenty of parking at the community center. The baskets were nice with the hole number on top of them. The tee pads were really nice. This course was extremely challenging with a few really good holes. The first three holes were excellent. I just wish the course continued to be that good. I liked hole 7 and 12 how water came into play. Also, hole 8 was fun with that huge ditch in front of the basket.
Cons: the course did not have any tee signs or arrows to point you the right direction. When I pulled up to the property I was able to drive by a few of the holes(17,18, 1-5,7, 13) which gave me a good basis on where the holes were. It also would of been nice if there was a map that I could use to help navigate. I couldn't find hole 11 but I found the basket so I walked back to the tee. I also did not find hole 15. I looked for 30 minutes and had no luck. The course seemed to long. Most of the holes could of been cut in half and the course would of been better. Especially hole 10, It would of been a great hole if the basket was in the old location( where the shopping cart is hanging in air), And then had a tee pad near there and threw to the current location. Hole 13 is another one that could of been cut in half. I feel like the community center had so much land that they felt like they needed to use all of it which is not the case. Distance doesn't make the course better. They have the space to make 2-3 quality courses.
Other Thoughts: This course has the potential to be 2-3 great courses but they just need to cut the length down on some of the holes. A few 500+ foot holes are nice but not every single one.
