A Real Country Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 14, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Cool layout/use of land.
-Hilly.
-Awesome hole #10 (big open bomb).
-Super nice people at Mavis Manor Bed & Breakfast/Farm.

Cons:

-Baskets single layer chains (not big deal).
-Tees are marked, but not extremely well.
-I don't care that the tees are grass, but some of them are very uneven.
-No signage, a little tough to follow.

Other Thoughts:

This is a cool little course that definitely has some potential. My main problem was with the tees. If they just took a shovel to level them out a little bit, that would pretty much fix the problem. A couple holes had short and long tees, but the short ones seemed a little pointless to me. The holes felt more natural from the long. Also, there were 10 holes, not 9. And I didn't see any water hazard on #1 and #10.

If you're down this way, I'd suggest staying at the Mavis Manor Bed & Breakfast, then you can play this course and Pipestem in one trip.
