Simple Birdie Run
Pros: -In decent condition, baskets, signs, etc.
-A couple of interesting drives.
-Not heavily used.
-Good for beginners.
Cons: -Quite short, two holes just barely over 300, everything is possible to birdie.
-Grass/A few dirt tees.
-Close proximity other park activities.
Other Thoughts: This course is pretty simple and short, but, as the two rating suggests, reasonable nonetheless. The courses are pretty sparse in this area of Minnesota, so if you find yourself in the Park Rapids area with some time to kill, it's worth a stop. There are a couple interesting uses of the moderate elevation changes the park has some obstacles such as trees, roads and the baseball fields.
Not anything to write home about, but a decent course that will keep intermediate players sharp if they want birdies and is quite accessible to beginners as well. Even mid summer the park isn't super utilized, so you will usually be out there alone. Not much traffic on the roads and I have net to see a baseball game on the diamond.
*Note: they did change the pin location on Hole 7 earlier this year, it used to be around the corner of a tennis court, it's been moved to the near side.
Pros: Nice baskets, nice sings (that haven't been vandalized yet)
Cons: Grass tees, tons of spots where you interact with other park goers, many of whom look at you like you have 3 nipples when you throw a frisbee more than 20 feet. Terrible layout that brings too much other park stuff into play.
Other Thoughts: There was the perfect amount of space here to put in about 4 nice holes. Too bad they insisted on putting in 9. One plays right along the baseball field, like within 10 feet of it the whole way, and has you shooting over the bleachers. Another plays around the corner of the tennis courts, and a third along the fence of the basketball court. Honestly not worth the stop. All holes under 300', no real difficulty to them. Boring.

Average park course
Pros: Well mantained
Cons: Grass tees
Proximity to park amenities
Other Thoughts: You won't have any course traffic, but the park is busy on weekend days, and no one seems to no what disc golf is so you have to watch out for bikers and walkers. Decent layout but every hole is a duece. Wouldn't go out of my way to play but worth it if you have 45 min to kill.
