ReTire time 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 16, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

ReTire baskets (for a change).
Course Map by hole 1.
Good signage.
Well marked natural tees.
Well defined fairways.
Easy flow.
Good use of elevation and trees available.
Multiple lines for each hole (but not wide open).
Beginner friendly.
Wind will add difficulty.
Quick round.

Cons:

Natural Tees.
Only 9 holes.

Other Thoughts:

Nice little course in the middle of nowhere.
A lot of potential for a solid 18 hole course. If more interest in the area.
Bathrooms.
Playground.
Covered picnic tables.
Good course for an afternoon with the Family.
Remember the course is made for camper to pass time.

If you like cedar trees and tall grass 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 16, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course has good signage and the re-tire baskets catch well. Rounds will play quick here.
There is a good mix of short and moderate length holes. Also there is a good mix of dog leg left and right holes and a few protected baskets too.
Fairways were well mowed and what trees where here were incorporated well.

Cons:

This course doesn't have a great abundance of trees to work with. For the most part the holes are open and are defined by tall grass on either side of the hole. I played here in Nov. so I can't say if the tall grass would make for finding your disc hard or not.
The wind will affect your game here.
There weren't any benches, not a problem for me, but for some this might be an issue.
Also there needs to be a trash can or two. This might deter the litterbugs. Its a good theory anyway.

Other Thoughts:

This is a nice course to introduce a first time player to the game. It will challenge you but not frustrate you. Its also a nice option for the people that are camping at the lake. They took an unused piece of land and put it to use which is a good thing. Personally I think every lake/state park needs a disc golf course.
This isn't a must play course by any stretch of the imagination but if you like to camp or are in the area stop you could stop and play this course. Its good to see western Oklahoma getting more courses.
