Pros: *Nice changes in elevation
*Located in a campground, so it might introduce new players to the game as they see others passing by
*Beginner-friendly course--no long holes
*Good baskets
Cons: *Beginner-friendly course--no long holes
*Park was closed for the season (I parked in the grass and walked in. I don't know if that's allowed or not but I did it since I'd driven 60 miles to get there.)
*Course still lacks tee areas. I'm sure this will be fixed at some point. Signs are paper inside of plastic sleeves but they were adequate for the time being.
*This course is OK, but there's no wow factor that's going to make you seek it out as a destination. Perhaps the back nine will be that feature if it gets added.
Other Thoughts: #1-200' Parking lot to the right that is OB but shouldn't be an issue. Some trees stick out a bit on the left that you have to miss and then there's a tree on the right that narrows the fairway. Slightly uphill to the basket.
#2 220' Not long, but there are about 5 or 6 larger, older trees you'll have to weave in and out of to get to the basket.
#3 300' Downhill to the basket. Thicker trees to the right. Basket is protected by a few low-hanging trees just in front and right of it.
#4 260' Throw into the woods. Fairway begins an incline in the woods and curves a bit to the right.
#5 225' Still in the woods. Narrow gap to hit the correct line.
#6 310' Dogleg left in the woods. Fairway is a gradual uphill grade all the way to the basket.
#7 235' Majority of the fairway is a straight shot through the woods; basket sits in the clearing about 20' or 30' out of the woods.
#8 225' In the clearing but there are a handful of tall trees on either side of the fairway that can get you. Downhill about the last 1/3 of the fairway, but the incline isn't much of a change.
#9 225. Fairway is wide open but the basket is tucked behind a tall tree. You'll have to come in right-to-left.

Pros: Inside a seasonal campground for great camping recreation. Nice technical tight holes but a couple that are wide open also. Short course that beginners can drive in one throw, but tight woods make for challenging holes for pros too. No next tee signs yet, but its not too difficult to find the next tee, there is usually only one path away from the basket. A nice quiet walk in the woods.
Cons: Campground, and therefore parking lot, close in the fall/winter but ranger said that parking in entrance was ok as long as only one gate was blocked. No restrooms or water if campground is closed. Abundant briars and undergrowth in summer may make errant discs hard to find.
Other Thoughts: Back nine should be coming along before long if the course gets plenty of play so everyone come check it out. I can't wait to go play it again!
