Tiny Course, Big Laughs 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 12, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

An 18 hole mini course with holes short enough to play with your marker discs

+ Credit to the "course designer" for thinking through this layout. There are areas of tall rough (I lost a disc!), elevation, a tunnel shot, OB sidewalks and parking lots. Using the pavement as OB, we even had an island hole

+ 18 baskets in good shape, short tee signs indicating direction, and small circular cement tees. Very easy to follow, although we couldn't find tee 18, and chose to throw across the main driveway (pavement OB!)

Cons:

- None. It succeeds entirely at what it seeks to be: a short layout for flicking marker discs into mini baskets

Other Thoughts:

~COURSE AMENITIES SUMMARY: Good baskets, signage and well-marked tees. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms available (along with video games and laser tag)

~ OK, so I'm late to this party, but an 18 hole course with short baskets that you play with your minis. How great is this! This was the first mini layout I played. We fit it in during a day of bagging "real" courses and it was a fun break. Spend an hour laughing while not hitting any trees

~ I subsequently played a much bigger mini course (see Hobson Park Mini), which is a totally different scale, and benefits from having mini discs larger than just the ones you use as markers. Laserdome is more like vacation minigolf, minus the windmills

Mini DG, Laser Tag, and Arcade!!! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 2, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Tee posts with basic signage( tee # and direction)
- Nice 2'6" dia white pavers for tees, easy to spot and solid for footing
- Baskets numbered to eliminate any confusion
- Baskets had solar lights and some spot lighting for night play
- Used small amount of land well to maximize variety
- Onsite bathrooms and snack bar, and laser tag, and arcade with pinball machines

Cons:

- Current tee signs don't have distance or par
- would have liked to seen one or two holes a little longer so you would have to had to thrown two good long shots.

Other Thoughts:

Note - it seems they cut the first and last hole off as they sit a little too close to the parking lot/entrance making this only a 16 hole course.

This is a great all in one fun place. The Laserdome, has laser tag as you would expect but they have tried to add as much fun as they can with an snack bar, ok sized arcade, with 5 pinball machines. If you're a pinball guy like me 5 nice new machines is awesome to find in one public location. Also some kinda haunted thing for halloween time and of course the mini DG course.

As far as the DG course goes this is a nice example of mini DG. The course is easy to navigate starting just behind the dome from the main entrance to the facility and then wrapping around the property back to the other side of the parking lot. The tees are marked with a nice 6x6 post which has a sign with the hole # and general direction attached. You can tell on some holes that they used to have nicer signage before they renumbered so hopefully in the future they will upgrade again. It would have been nice to at least known the distances. The tee is a 2'6" round white paver which is really easy to spot and makes for great footing for teeing off. The baskets can almost all be seen from the tees and are numbered so you shouldn't get them mixed up. Most baskets have two things on them, a solar light so the course can be played at night, and a next tee sign so you know where your going. also throughout the course are some spot lights which help with the night mini dg.

Overall everything seemed to be well kept. The grass was cut and it was easy to navigate. It even managed to have some variety with different shots and obstacles.
