Pros: Concrete tee pads, good mix of shots required. Helpful locals, plenty of parking. Not too much brush for the most part makes finding errant shots easy. Good mix of distances on a totally wooded course. Fun place for a round in the summer. Short walks between holes makes for a pretty quick round.
Cons: Pretty muddy in spots, some holes have no apparent lane for playing the first time.
Other Thoughts: I would probably place this course as 4th best in Roch. area, behind Parma, Baker Farm, and Ellison. Close to Parma so you can get try and play both in an evening.

Pros: Cement tee's will keep you out of the mud (although we didn't use them with our sacred "blue tee Sundays!") Many par-able holes. Fairly decent wooded lanes reward a precision shot.
Cons: Pretty heavily populated. Some holes don't seem to have much of a lane at all and rely 100 percent on luck.
Other Thoughts: All in all a pretty good course. This course usually gets hit up when we are in the northwest Rochester area for the day indulging in JOOSE!!!! Not the best in the area, but good all the same.

 Challenging but rewarding

Pros: Lots of shade, good baskets, not overcrowded. The teepads are awesome!

Great course to learn finesse shots.
Cons: The course is right in the middle of the woods and not enough trees have been removed for it. Layout is confusing due to lack of maps/signs.

Pros: This is a very Challenging cousre and if you rush it you can get it done in about a hour and fifteen
Cons: LOTS OF TREES. A little lick needs to be on your side with this couse the amount of trees in there makes for very small fairways that even the most skillfull shooter can have his shot swatted down.(sometimes i think the trees move to hit your disc on purpose)
Other Thoughts: There is a bridige on the back nine that vandels almost always have broken

Pros: Love the woods. Thanks ppl who hauled in concrete tees. You can develope a real love/hate because of the dense trees. Layout was done very nicely, with some scenic holes near a creek. cool bridges.
Cons: drainage in some spots, trees. get a map, I found myself a little confused the first time. I could see the thick leaves on the ground hiding more than a few discs.

Pros: This is your typical shorter wooded course. The ground is well worn without much undergrowth which makes finding your discs easy, especially after they are deflected off a tree. This course definitely tests your accuracy. Is also tests how well you can recover from a tee shot that may not go where you had envisioned it.

#17 is the signature hole, which is a pretty nice one near the end of the round.

This course was great to play in the mid-summer as the dense trees provided excellent shade for most of the course. And then a thunderstorm came and it rained, but the trees kept us pretty dry!
Cons: All the holes are in the woods, it gets a little redundant. The fairways are sometimes really narrow, which does require some luck. (look at the pictures and you will see what some of the tee Some spots were trashy.
Other Thoughts: To me this is your average woods course, it is not a bad play if you appreciate a good woods course. I would rank it 3rd in the area behind Baker Farm and Ellson.

Pros: Super challenging wooded course. There are lanes in the woods but if you have an errant shot you will pay. The new concrete tees really help. #1, 9, 10, and 18 are all close to parking area so it's easy to just do 9 when that's all the time you have.
Cons: Limited signage or broken ones make it difficult for first timers to figure some holes. There can be lots of garbage at times.
Other Thoughts: I wish some idiots didn't trash courses but I try to help out here and always pick up some of the trash while playing.

Pros: Fun and challenging wooded course with a well thought out design on most holes. I found it easy to navigate. Forces you to play under control and be accurate. Playing cautious is to your advantage here as opposed to some courses where you can go all out on every throw and never pay for it. You need a variety of different throws to do well here. Many risk vs. reward shots. Good signs. Concrete tees. Beginner friendly since there is little chance of losing a disc or spending time searching for your disc. A few signature holes that I want to play again and again. Hole 15 is an awesome hole.
Cons: Not an even mix of wooded vs. open holes. Drainage can be an issue after a good rain. The front 9 can be a little frustrating with how tight some of the lines are.
Other Thoughts: One of the funnest courses i've ever played. Great course to compete against your friends because anything can happen. You can be leading by 4 shots on one hole and trailing the next hole. I like the back 9 alot better so if you are rushed for time you can start there right from the parking lot as 10 begins nearby. I think the designers did a great job. They used what elevation and water they had nicely. An elevated basket and one on the side of a hill really help to mix things up. Not the best course in Rochester but that doesn't do Basil justice since there are so many great ones around. A very good course overall and a great wooded course if thats your thing. If you've never played here... you should check it out, its worth the time.

Pros: Nice woodsy course, trees force accuracy. Fairly easy to follow course. Open understory makes it easy to locate wayward discs. New concrete tees.
Cons: Busy park, numerous paths through woods can make it difficult to follow course (especially 12--> 13 over creek). May also have to play around folks lounging in a fairway. Limited signage on back 9, no bridge to cross creek (2x). Abundant trash.
Other Thoughts: Forest is not very healthy due to heavy traffic which leads to erosion and little vegetative regeneration. Numerous fairway trees are really beat up. Take care to limit impact.
