Other Thoughts: NIACC DGC plays on the campus of the North Iowa Area Community College on the very eastern edge of Mason City, IA. Originally just 2 practice baskets (now #1 and #2), #3-9 have been added around the northeastern corner of campus. Play begins near the now defunct tennis courts (you can see them in the old pictures, but it is now just a flat meadow area). Baskets are passable, but single chain. #2 is one to be careful as there is a pretty good slope to the right of the basket leading to the pond. There are a couple of shots in the trees, basket #5, tee of #6, basket #8, but mostly open lines that give some basic play, but nothing outstanding. It took me a while to figure out the configuration, I ended up starting next to the #8 basket as a tee toward #9 and played through. There is a much nicer course in town at East Park, so unless you're bagging, I'd skip this. Even if in the area, I wouldn't play it again.
