Fair is too high of a rating for this park

Pros: -- A couple of decent holes. No. 2 (233 feet) is the best hole with the basket sitting on a small mound and guarded by a tree near the corner of the tennis courts. No. 4 (302 feet) is a slight dogleg left around a big tree but is wide open to the right.
-- Plenty of parking.
-- Park appears to be well maintained.
Cons: -- Navigation. Hard to imagine on a 9-hole city park course in a small area. However, there is no map on site, and only two of the nine holes have tee signs. The tee signs don't have much information and don't even indicate which direction you are throwing. Baskets aren't numbered, so you really don't have any guidance in terms of navigation.
-- Safety issues. I have seen worse, but this course has too many baskets and tee pads in/near flight paths for other holes. Eight is the worse example with the No. 7 basket just right and in front of the tee pad, and the 9 tee pad in the path of a RHBH shot to the basket. Six tee pad is in the direct path from 5 tee to basket.
-- Tee pads are ridiculously small (3x8?). No. 5 is badly damaged and has gone unrepaired for seven years.
-- No. 4 basket has a bent center pole, and it is leaning badly.
-- Not the best land for disc golf. There are some trees, but they tend to be near the edges of the property, so using them as obstacles brings danger to other park users or cars on the road. The land is also flat, and the only water is standing in the fairways.
-- Course was mostly under water when I played. Since a previous review mentioned that the course tends to hold water, I assume the conditions I found were not unusual.
-- Other park amenities (RV parking, a stage) mean there will be times the course is not playable.
Other Thoughts: -- Course plays mostly clockwise around the area. No. 1 tees from near the parking lot by the pool and plays away from the pool (toward the tennis courts).
-- This appears to be the course that everybody forgot. It was installed in 2014 and doesn't appear to have gotten any maintenance since. I mean, the grass gets cut because it's a multi-use park, but nothing appears to be done to support disc golf.
-- There is also no evidence of the championship level course across the street that was mentioned as coming soon in a review six years ago.

 It's a Fair course

Pros: Signs were easy to spot
Short course so short narrow tee pads on all the holes
Cons: A few of the holes are on top of each other.
Other Thoughts: Hope is not exactly a big town, it was cool to see them get a course. Even better when I found out it was not a course put in by a disc golfer, but a park employee who wanted disc golf in his park.

The tee pads actually have a history. they use to be part of the seating of the coliseum across from the disc golf course, 60 year old tee pads.

The course is your typical pitch and putt course. But for a nine hole course and the first course in the town, that is all you need.

Plans are to make another championship level course across the street in the wooded area. Look for that in the next few years.

Nice park with tall pine trees

Pros: This is a well maintained city park course with tall pine trees that provide a nice challenge.
The flow is logical here and rounds should play quickly. There is a good mix of short and moderate length holes.
Beginner friendly course.
There are other amenities here like a swimming pool, basketball courts, play ground, etc.
Hole observations:
1- has pine trees to shape lines
2-the basket is up on a mound
3-uses the pines to shape lines
4-is an open hole and you can work it from Right to Left easily here
5-shorter hole with the basket out in the open
6-moderate length and a huge pine tree protects the basket
7-moderate length with the basket protected by a small pine
8-slightly elevated tee with the basket on the other side of the little draw
9-moderate length with the basket being protected
Cons: The tee pads are incredibly narrow and some players will want to tee of on the grass.
Some holes could be unplayable especially if there were campers using the RV hook ups around holes 3-5.
No numbers on the baskets.
No trash cans or benches, not a huge con but it still adds a nice touch to any course.
The tee signs for 3 and 4 were missing.
The course will hold water after a good rain so be advised.
There is a road on the left hand side of 4's fairway and an errant shot could hit a car so be cautious.
5's tee pad was broken up and cracked.
Other Thoughts: This is a typical city park 9 hole course in a small town. Its a decent play but there needed to be a bit more variety to the holes here, IMO. This would be a good place to take a new comer to this great sport or a more advanced player could hone in their mid range game here.
Overall its a decent play in a small town. If you are in the area or passing through and want to get out and play then hit this course up.

Pros: Easy to follow. Park was well maintained. Good baskets with just the right amount of obstacles.
Cons: Small tee pads. Not much variety in the 9 holes.
Other Thoughts: This is a good place for inexperienced players to have a chance at scoring well. Advanced players could play it as all Par Twos and have a challenge...other than that, it would be too easy for them to enjoy. It hit me about right.

  Tight park course

Pros: Currently well maintained and being in a city park it will be frequently mowed.
Easy to navigate, each tee box has a sign, logical layout
Cons: Course is right beside pool, tennis court, and playground. If the park has much of a crowd many of the holes would likely be obstructed. Very little challenge.
Other Thoughts: Nice little park course, would not pose much of a challenge to experienced players. All holes are fairly short and straight. Lightly wooded, requires minimal shot shaping.
