The course starts just behind the swimming pool and finishes about 1/3 of a mile away over beyond two or three ballfields. It's quite a hike back. The course has two concrete pads, each with it's own sign playing to a single basket. The signs and posts are new. There is a mailbox which contains scorecards but no maps. There is also a bench here as well as garbage cans in many holes. The baskets are the DGA models with 5he always hard to read red numbers.

I would always plays this course two holes at a time like 1 & 10, then 2 & 11, then 3 & 12 and so one. They are often close to each other and 9 & 18 finish so far away, that it just makes sense to combine them in this manner.

Basket # 1 is 250' for # 1 and 233' for # 10. One is a hyser throw and the other is an annie.

Basket # 2 is 153' for # 2 and 180' for # 11. They are very similar shots.

Basket # 3 is 280' for # 3 and 240' for # 12. They both require an big hyser to 5he basket tucked well back around the corner.

Basket # 4 is set just past a chain link fence. It is 216' for # 4 and 233' for # 13. The pads are very close but I actually liked this hole as it requires a nice touch to clear the fence but you can't go too far past or you'll land in the brush.

Basket # 5 is 258' for # 5 and 316' for # 14. One is straight and one is kind of a hyser shot.

Basket # 6 is 258' for # 6 and 272' for # 15. The hole plays near a fence and has a sign asking you don't climb over the fence and then the fence shows evidence from where players have been climbing over it.

Basket # 7 is 232' for # 7 and 268' for # 16. The basket is just behind the the center field baseball fence and both play as Annie's.

Basket # 8 is 220' for # 8 and 172' for # 17. Both are straight, open easy Ace runs.

Basket # 9 is 137' for # 9 and 182' for # 18. I wasn't sure how to play this hole. It's either a short fishhook or I think you can cut the corner by throwing through a small gap in the thick woods and brush.

After finishing # 9-18 you are way over at the other side of the park. Plus, I didn't know where the starting point was. So I just starting walking back and eventually spotted my car.

Hole 8-17 is short and open.

A couple of the holes are basically the same.

The course is no more than an easy rec course.

This is kind of an interesting course. First, the two pads playing to one basket is a little unusual and seems to be a good idea on some holes and silly on others. Then I thought # 4-13 was a cool hole, # 9-18 was very interesting while I felt # 8-17 was just a filler. And then, finishing way over there and having this long walk back was crazy. I would never play the course straight and have to make that long walk back twice.

We are from Washington State. I would call us advanced intermediate players. Hub took two putters, I brought a mid and putter. It was a good course for us to throttle back and keep good control of our throws. It was very hot out and we did find shade along the way.

Nice Baskets, tees. mowed and very well maintained.

We were able to find all baskets/tees without alot of work.

The walk back from hole eight's tee happened to have a line of trees to hide under.

I would have liked a sign with the layout to take a picture of.

Baskets are surrounded or backed by very close rough, very dense rough. This could be a pro because it added a technical level to the short course but is a definite con for beginners.

I'd read how far nine is from one, which is where we parked so we stopped at seven.

Loved the rough from a nature perspective. We enjoyed it even with how hot it was. We are visiting from Washington state and I have been told it is unseasonably hot right now.

Compared to our courses this one is actually pretty nice. If I was more familiar with the vegetation here, I would take more risks and let it fly, but I am not sure if there's anything nasty in the rough so we were careful.

(1.351 Rating) A short recreational course that's located in the middle of nowhere.
- QUICK PLAY - One of the quickest 18s I've ever played. There are two tees to each of the 9 baskets. So, when I was presented with an empty course, I played both tees right away instead of making a second loop. I'm glad I did too as the walk back to tee (10) is around 1,200 feet. Navigation was not great, but it was open enough to where not having a map or directional cues made minimal impact.
- CHAINS - Probably the best conditioned Mach 3s I've ever thrown to. Not my favorite type of basket, but not too shabby.
- BEGINNER FRIENDLY - I could see this shorter course being real good for beginners from the month of November thru April. I personally played here in the middle of the summer, during peak overgrowth. The foliage was so dense and close to the basket, that a beginner would begin to hate this sport if they played in the conditions I dealt with.
- ACEABILITY - You are probably 2 or 3 times more likely to ace here than at a normal course. Hole (8/17) is a sub 200 footer without any obstacles.
- LOCATION FOR LOCALS - Only course for miles around. If you live in Sebring, this is it.

Numerous issues with Mosquito Creek. Not the worst course out there but in need of some work to draw a larger player base.
- TEES - They are so bad that I rarely used them. They are rubber mats and they are a little uneven and around 6 feet in length.
- OVERGROWTH - Probably beginning around the month of May, Mosquito Creek will become a different animal as the overgrowth will have exploded. Many baskets are located within 10 feet of this stuff and I found myself searching for a few minutes for putts that sailed 10 feet by the basket.
- BASKET AND TEE SEPARATION - Tees are haphazardly laid out near adjacent baskets with several being in the direct path of fire from the pervious hole.
- MULTI USE HAZARDS - Several ball fields are in play. Holes (3/12) and (4/13) occupy the same space as a soccer field. (6/15) and (7/16) play along a baseball field fence.
- NOT CHALLENGING - Intermediate players and above will finish well down here. The course probably caters best to rec players with at least two years of experience. I figure these players will finish around even or so.
- 9 BASKETS - Although listed as 18 holes on DGCR, there are only 9 baskets in play. Two tees go to each basket. For example, hole (1) and (10) share the same basket and fairway, but they tee from slightly different angles. Most holes unfortunately just add distance between the two tees.
- FLAWED HOLES - (9/18) is a head scratcher. You can either play around a dense line of trees and vines, or attempt to go thru it. I personally lost a disc high in the vines from my throw on (18). If you choose to go around, you'll be playing into (7/16) fairway.
- NATURAL BEAUTY - The overgrown left edges look amazing. However, the right sides of the fairways are almost always composed of chain link fences. I gave the course a rating of 1.625 out of 5 for beauty.
- ELEVATION - Ice rinks have more elevation to them.
- UNIQUENESS - In addition to no elevation, the course lacks many of the variety features of your average 18 hole course. All par 3s, no water, no doglegs, all short holes under 300 feet. The course is very RHBH dominate.
- CHARACTER - Hardly any extras or comfort items at Mosquito Creek. No map or descriptive tee signs. The tees are mostly un-shaded. There is seating at two holes (1/10). No multi tees or multi baskets locations. I will end on a position note however, there are restrooms and vending machines in the park.

If you play here and live more than 1 hour away, and Sebring International Speedway wasn't your main purpose to visit this town, you are by definition, a course bagger.

Great course to introduce people to the sport. It has some nice obstacles that teach how apply the basics of the game. Went on a weekend and it wasn't busy. Set in a nice setting that was enjoyable to play in.

I realize it's a new course and the tees were a little rough, but just step to the side and throw from the grass if you prefer.

Was in town on vacation and surprised to see a course had been out in. Also can rent or buy discs at the YMCA office.

Not a bad niner for what it is and though it plays close to a lot of fields, the design does it's best to direct throws away from where there will be danger. Typically, a hole will play with a left turning shot so new RHBH players should find it plays well to what they can do with open fairways and short distances. Also, the athletic fields are kept on the right with woods to the left and baskets constantly tucked into the woods. Nice baskets and easy navigation make this a great first course for the area and a good first course for a new player to try out the game.

Still too close to some otherwise used areas and while the field didn't come into play, people that were using the fields were parking in what was essentially fairway. (No parking lots here? Too lazy to walk from the lot to the field and need to drive across the grass to park as close to the fence as possible? They need to install a barrier at a key gap to keep cars on the roads.) And then yeah, the end of the course leaves you bewilderingly far from where you started.

We saw a surprising amount of wildlife for an urban course. We saw a fox while on the course, and a wide variety of wildflowers.

The course is fairly easy to navigate and offers short to mid-length holes.

The course mostly plays in between some woods and some baseball/soccer fields and uses sporadic trees, light woods, and fences for obstacles.

There is a long walk from hole 9/18 to hole 1/10.

Not a destination course, but a fun quick play if in the area. The potential is here for a higher rating, and its good to see this area finally getting a course.
