Must play if you are visiting Zion NP and love DG. There is a map near tee pad that I recommend taking a photo of to provide you reference. Once you play the first 9, you have likely seen the tees/baskets for holes 10-18.

There are bathrooms, grass park area and a play structure if you have non-disc golfers in your group.

Tee pads are natural and difficult to find.

Basket 9 was missing when I played.

Signage is hit or miss to inform where the next tee/basket is.

Baskets are not permanently placed.

It was fun to see a couple of DD Marksman baskets on the course to add a level of challenge.

--This course is beautiful. You are surrounded by a complete vista of the all the famous, towering red canyon walls classically associated with the Zion area.
--The baskets catch well, and although they are not in perfect shape and are not known as amazing baskets they do their jobs nicely and look amazing with the landscape.
--There are many unique and fun basket positions. Some baskets may have no base at all and are perched on tree stumps and other are on bolder on a steep hillside. This can lead to unusual putts witch are always fun.
--This course has bathrooms available and seems to be never crowded.

-- This course has one main con. That is that is is IMPOSSIBLE to follow. The first 3 (4?) holes are easy to follow due to the fact that there are directions on this very course page. But after that... there is no way to know what basket you are shooting to. After hole 3 or 4 you are standing in a parking lot area with no apparent tees and 5 baskets you can be shooting to. One of the main things that threw us of what the fact that this page says that this course has 6 holes but there are 9 baskets. That is one of the reasons that I am confused on what hole 3 and 4 are because in the directions on the page it says that hole 3 tees from the piles of rocks but there seems to be another hole squeezed into the layout.
--There is no tees and no signage. You simply must have someone with knowledge of the course if you deiced to play here.
--From what we can tell none of the shots are long. All shots being under 250 or so. Now I can not confirm this because we don't have any knowledge on this because we don't know how the course is supposed to be played but the way the baskets are is seems that you are shooting from very short distances from one basket to the other. If there is a longer shot then many "fairways" or seemingly fitting shots would be cut off and it would just become even more confusing.
--On one of the baskets (we played it as hole 9) there is a sea of stickers that get stuck in you socks and are uncomfortable and painful. You can solve this by wearing pants because the sun is trying to kill you and you become very very hot.
--This course isn't very well maintained. It seems that after the baskets were put in the project lost steam and the baskets were left in the field to rust.

This course could be something. It really has so much potential and it would be so easy to make this course a place that people would really enjoy. All that needs to be done is someone who has some knowledge of the course needs to go out there with some steaks with numbers or even some spray painted rocks with little numbers on them to make tees. This looks like a really fun course if you know how its supposed to go but if you aren't a part of that minority they you will be confused and frustrated. If this course dose get some tee markers then this course would got form a 1.5 to probably a 3 or so. If that dose happen please message so i can fix this review. If you are in the area with some discs and some spare time sure come give and this course a visit and see if you can figure it out, but don't bring a beginner here and deferentially do not come out of your way to play here.

Beautiful scenery, right out side of Zion national Park. Friendly course creator who is willing to loan discs, and help navigate the course. Nice new baskets. Kudos to Brette and city of Springdale for getting this course installed. Looking forward to future improvements.

No signage, map or marked tee pads, only 6 baskets but 5 played form different directions for a total of 11 holes.

This course is a work in progress, but is a welcome addition to the area. Brette is very friendly and played a round with us, otherwise it would have been difficult to find all 6 baskets let alone know where to throw from.

First tee is concrete behind fence near 3rd base, 2nd tee is a large concrete pad to the right and in front of 2nd basket, 3rd tee is on the grass in front of 3rd basket, then I'm not too sure. After you get to the 6th basket up a wash on the right, you basically play all the baskets in reverse, mostly downhill, which I thought were all better than the other direction.

Brette said he was working on getting a map, signage and possibly some rubber tee pads which all would be a big help with navigation.

Because this course is in Zion Canyon it has very scenic vistas.

A player can make up numerous holes with the pin positions using elevation and other features to increase difficulties and interest.

The ball field isn't used too much so players can do field work and putting practice often.

Foxtails are abundant in some areas and can get into your socks and shoes. Gaiters may be suggested to keep these stickers out of your socks.

Some errant throws may be a tough find if they get into the long grass or steep spots.

Finishing Hole 2, the golfer should walk back to the field to throw up the wash to the new #3 position which is well presented and guarded by two large junipers.
#4 is the old #3. Golfers can see #5 from 4 tee pad by looking directly West along the wash about 400 feet. Number 5 tees forty five feet above 4 pin with the burm blocking visual of the pin. Hole 6 tees from the road climbing up a wash to a landing zone marked by a dead juniper. Golfers have a great visual of the pin.
