Great beginner course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 1, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This course is easily accessible, and on the short side. There are a few very unique holes such as #10 and #11. #10 is a hanging basket suspended on a wire that can be moved along it's length, the wire is also blind from the tee. 11 is mounted on a rock covered stump so is 2 foot taller than your average basket height.
No water hazards meaning beginners won't lose all their discs. Average hole distance is probably 275 or less meaning a fairway driver is the biggest you will need.
Fairly well maintained by IDGC who built the course as well.

Cons:

No true teepads, just toeboards. Many of the pro's could be considered cons as well. Shorter course, with many of the holes protected by trees.

Other Thoughts:

Many of the shots require a fair amount of control due to the wooded nature of the course. Because of the short technical nature and lack of water many folks will be able to learn shot shaping without fear of losing plastic.
