Other Thoughts: Harrison Park hosts a reasonable park course in the middle of Emmetsburg, IA. A fairly typical course for a city park winding around mostly the outside of this large city block. Nice concrete tees and decent baskets are in place from its inception, it appears. The signage is basic, just hole #, distance and par. There are several strange transitions. #2 tee is a bit of a walk from #1 basket. #7 tee is almost hidden near the restrooms and #9 tees from the same general location as #1 making a walk back to where you parked, but it IS all in the one block that makes up the park, so none of it is long, just a little strange. It does tend to stay away from other park activities, but the road through the park is in play on #1, #2, #8 and #9. A shelter could be in play on #2. At 2400', this is no real task for the experienced, but could be a warm up for the course at the local community college on the NW corner of town. Typical for a small town, single block park course. OK for a quick round or to take the novice. Not much to improve without a reconfiguration, but really not a necessity either. I might play again, if in the area for a quick round.
