Pros:

The biggest pro here is the scenery. It starts off nicely on hole 1 which requires a decent arm and has a nice view of the water. Hole 2 has a low ceiling to contend with and the lake on the left side. Holes 7 and 9 require shot shaping, while hole 8 requires a placement shot due to the water beyond the basket. There is decent elevation for Illinois and multiple tee lengths. It is decent for beginner players and a birdie challenge for intermediate and above. There are a few picnic tables and a bathroom between 6 & 7. Baskets are well marked, catch well, and are in decent condition. Grass is mowed and there will not be anyone else playing here.

Cons:

This is a private course so you have to be with a member to play and they have security. Unfortunately holes 3,4,5, & 6 are boring. Hole 5 has not been maintained with tree limbs overgrown to the point of needing to tee off to the side of the sign post. Navigation will take an extra few minutes the first time you play. More trees could be planted and only a few holes require any sort of an arm.

Other Thoughts:

Park by the course sign and not in the lot in order to start at hole #1. This course is really only good for beginners. The view of the lake bumps my rating from a 1.0 to a 1.5. Hole 6 is a good field practice hole with no way to lose a disc as it is in an open field. There are picnic tables on the course and a playground nearby. My friend that lives here was surprised enough to state that it is actually worth us returning to on a rare occasion.
