Pros: It has a great selection of "different" type holes. Some are long and curvy. Some are short and straight. It's a long course and the people are nice! It has 3 baskets sleeves for each hole which some people might find not find attractive but i love it. The course has plenty of benches places around the course to let your legs wind down from a hard day of walking. The course is kept clean by the helping of the JUDGES (our local club). We try and keep all fairways clean with no fallen sticks , etc. We are always around if you have any questions about the course. Ask around if any JUDGES are there and 9 time out of 10 you will find one of us.
Cons: Few ways to lose your disc, Some of the placements are extremely hard for Novice's but that can easily be fixed by letting them throw from a closer spot. Poison Ivy is a problem we have for sure. Early in the summer we have a bad problem with "skeeters" as we are so close to the water.
Other Thoughts: Noticed it says there is multiple tees. This is wrong. As of 2 weekends ago it has 3 pin positions for every hole. Same tee off position for every hole. IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA YOU MUST PLAY THIS COURSE! One of the best in the area. After you knock this one off your list you must head on over to Morton and play Roosevelt as well! Both 2 of the best in central MS

Pros: Great balance... Wooded holes, open holes, long holes, short holes... Great scenery including water... Multiple pins...
Cons: Not really any...
Other Thoughts: One of my top 5 courses... Long pins are a great challenge... I've never had any encounters with poison ivy there...

had to give my 2 pennies since I do not AT all agree with other ratings
Pros: Scenic landscape, tough and long. A few water holes, like #18 where you can throw over 300' to clear water for the duece.
Cons: -POISON IVY, too much to avoid, you or your discs will have it within the first couple of holes, even if you land on the fairways.
- Not too well marked, I walked right by the 5th tee and did not even know it was a tee-pad!
-Several poorly designed or too punishing blind turns.
-Does not flow well.
-Ppl had a dog tied to the 18th pin and were laying in the sun by it, and would not move far enough away to be safe when I threw my drive.
Other Thoughts: Sorry but I have played 920+ courses and this just doesn't cut it by my (too high) standards. That and the fact I do not tolerate holes carpeted in poison ivy.
For those who keep saying they haven't encountered ivy here- I say go look for it. It covers the ground off the fairway on 1/3 of the holes, vines on some, and even inside some putting greens. Do you know what it looks like?? I sure do and it's everywhere, you CANNOT play this course and not come in contact with it at some point I guarantee it.

Pros: Excellent tee boxes and diagrams leading to perfect baskets. Beautiful holes along the Ross Barnett Reservoir! Every type of shot, every type of disc is required to master this shot making it very challenging.
Cons: Not the best course for beginners if you don't know what you're getting yourself into. If you have only played wide open holes with minimal trees, this will be the eye opener to what a real course is like.
Other Thoughts: This was only the second course I played and found it amazing. Definitely brought me back to earth as to my real skill level instead of my lofty thoughts after playing my home course. The water holes were AWESOME...I played the open field holes by the water multiple times just for fun. Didn't lose any discs!!!

Pros: Challenges every type of your game. Long open shots, heavily wooded shots, and depending on the basket placement, elevation changes. Very well maintained. Basket locations change often. There are three pin locations on every hole except 17 which has 2. Great scenery, good community. Good tee pads.
Cons: During the summer months there are often people fishing or laying out along the fairway of number 18 who don't seem to understand that a disc in the side of their head would not feel very good. Also in the summer there is a decent amount of poison ivy just off the fairways.
Other Thoughts: This is one of the best course I have ever played on. Definitely worth playing if you are around the area.

The Rez Rocks
Pros: Well maintained course in a great setting by the Barnett Reservoir.
Challenging course with a tournament-quality layout that will test a variety of your shots. It has three pin location on each hole.
Cons: Some water comes into play on holes 11, 17, & 18. Could lose a disc if you're not careful.
Other Thoughts: Have played only a few other courses and this one is by far the best. It's challenging and rewarding. It's well maintained and well marked.
The water is a con if you let it be. It's generally not an issue though. The holes are mostly wooded which makes it fun. The wide-open holes are pretty long and fun too.
I just played the Mississippi DG State Championship there, and I can say this is truly a tournament course. The three pins make it a great course. Round 3 had the pin locations at their longest making the course over 7400ft. It was a humbling round.

Fun, beautiful course
Pros: This is a great course that has been steadily improved over the past couple of years. All of the tees are well-marked and there is a diagram of the hole at each one.
There is a good mix of terrain. There are many tight shots through the woods and several open holes. There are some significant elevation changes for this area. This course also makes good use of the water on several challenging holes.
Cons: Not very many...just the heat, be sure to bring water.
Other Thoughts: A great course with beautiful view of the Ross Barnett Reservoir.

Pros: Excellent mix of shots required to do well on this course. Some of the long holes are just ridiculously difficult! Beautiful view of the Rez!
Cons: Some of the long holes are just ridiculously difficult! :) Hole 18 is a disc eater!
Other Thoughts: I love this course and make sure to play it just about every time I am in Jackson.
