Pros: +Well maintained course
+Map of whole course at start
+Concrete tee pads with plaque in the pad of current hole. Displays map, par, and yardage.
+Next tee signs in basket
Cons: -Every shot is a straight shot. Literally every shot.
-Relatively short course, especially during football season.
-Many hazards being a multi use park.
Other Thoughts: Kitchle park has done a great job of fitting an 18 hole course inside the city. However, the trade-off is losing diversity. Every shot here was a straight shot to the basket. The tree coverage does make for some thinking and short throws, but nothing here is really an obstacle in the way.
The park has also done a great job of making it clear where each basket is, and where the next one is, even during football season. Baskets 9-14 are moved during JFL football, and the next tee signs were no longer accurate, but the map at the begining of the course was correct.
The course plays through and around multiple hazards. All around are roads for driving and walking, which means you have to be alert of your surroundings. Holes 6 and 7 play next to a country club, and holes 15-18 play over or around water. Not sure if there is any way to retrieve lost disc from the water, seems pretty deep.
Overall, the guys at the park have done a good job of fitting a DGC in an area that desperately needs more. They have done a good job of keeping things interesting with a few Mando's and OB's, but overall a very straight forward, short course that doesn't provide much diversity.

Pros: Only course in area, big cement tees, new course sign just installed by hole 1. new Innova baskets. good for newbies , uniqueness on several holes adds overall to fun course . pros will like the long holes and capture many 2's if not couple aces . 18 holes with couple formats depending on time of year, good glow course. Clean Bathrooms. GREAT local Club members !!
Cons: some of the shorter holes may not challenge the more advanced players but definitely fun course to play and knock down aces and deuces. water comes into play on 3 holes but most players should be able to manage ( I call it deuce or die alley ) 15,16,17. BUT overall ,
Other Thoughts: Tee signs soon to be installed, city has embraced the sport and the Club is new and growing and learning. I was impressed with how the course funds were raised and how the sport has taken off in Pana, IL. nice playground for the family, good food places nearby.
Club has face book page and currently has weekly event on Sundays at 3 ( disc exchange Sunday's at 2 as well)
