7 Helpful / 0 Not
Pros: -Concrete Tees, nice size
-Awesome Baskets
-Excellent Tee Signs
-Decent Flow in this city park
-Park has good upkeep
-Some trees in play, some variation on distance, no elevation
Cons: -Too many holes play near other park activities
-No benches / trashcans
-Not much interest for experienced players
Other Thoughts: Eagle Grove DGC is located in Greenwood Park on the east side of Eagle Grove, IA. A notch above your typical city park course with decent signage, nice tee pads, and quality baskets. The concern here is the number of other park activities that come into play. #1 is just past the outfield of the largest ball field, #5 plays near a shelter, #6 squeezes between the basketball courts and the playground, #8 shoots back toward the basketball courts and #9 goes by a shelter and a sand volleyball area. The lines are fairly straightforward with a few trees in the mix, just watch out for the other obstacles. I was fortunate enough to play with few others in the park. I just missed the playground, thankfully with kids at the other end. The set-up of the course for equipment and overall design would rate it higher, but within all these other activities, I have to take it down in rating. If you are in the area and find the park quiet, you can have an enjoyable city park style round. I did enjoy my round and would play again, if in the area and able to navigate others in the park.
