Pros:

Turtle Lake High School DGC is your standard 9 baskets randomly placed around a school kind of course. I was actually only able to find 8 baskets. Not sure if there is/was a ninth but I could not find it.

There are 6 baskets that play around the football field. 3 along each sideline side. Then there was 2 more between the northwest corner of the school and the woods. No clue where the last one was.

The baskets are DISCatchers that are nice and easy to spot and caught fine.

The course is free to play and up all year.

The course can cater to most skill levels since there are no tee pads. You can make holes as long as you'd like, or play it however you please. It's a good place for field work too. Especially by the football field holes.

Cons:

No tees, no signs, no clue how the course is supposed to play. No numbers on any of the baskets, so I have no idea if we were at least close to playing it correctly.

The 2 baskets in the back of the school are fenced in on 3 sides. So don't walk behind the baseball fence to get to them even though you can see them. Found this out the hard way. Walk between the football and baseball field to reach them.

The grass on a lot of the lawn area doesn't drain very good. A recurring theme on the courses in this area I've noticed. So it's often very wet even though it looks completely dry. If you don't have waterproof shoes you're almost assured of getting wet feet after any kind of rain, possibly even days after the last rain.

As is the case with school courses, not playable during school hours.

Other Thoughts:

I just wanted to get at least 1 review up for this place. I personally wouldn't bother with this course. No flow, wide open boring holes. Just baskets placed in the open areas around the sports fields. If you just want a place to do fieldwork, this is as good a place as any though. As a course? Don't even bother. Better options around.
