-- Excellent use of land. Three tees and two baskets per hole with nine fairways. You play two loops through the property. Each of the nine fairways has two baskets, so you've got to make sure you play the correct basket (they are color coded).
-- The course uses paths from an old ball golf course as the fairways; they are pretty uniform at about 30-40 feet wide and well defined.
-- Many dog legs and some elevation to add interest/challenge to shorter holes and reward accuracy. Nos. 3, 5, 12, 14 and 18 are good examples.
-- Navigation was pretty easy. You mostly followed the mowed path and stay out of the thick stuff.
-- The three tee pads give excellent distance variation: The red layout offers 11 holes shorter than 200 feet; the blue layout has four holes longer than 400 feet.

-- Natural/gravel tee pads that are all but non-existent. The three tees are color coded from short to long (red, white and blue). However, the tee signs (basic at best) are only at the long tees. Finding the others (red and blue painted stones in the ground) was a challenge. Once you found them, you had a poorly defined (at best) tee area that was not level.
-- No amenities: restroom, benches, water, etc.
-- No map on site.
-- Getting to the course is a challenge. It's only about a mile south of Interstate 44, but that mile in a direct line takes 4-5 miles of driving (some of it on gravel roads).
-- Favors RHBH/LHFH throwing style.

-- The layout of two baskets per fairway to create 18 holes with 9 fairways is interesting. Most are fairly well done and add either distance or a more challenging line. Nos. 7/16 is the opposite, however. The baskets are the same distance and are simply on opposite sides of the fairway. In a few instances, you follow the same flight path to both baskets, and the back nine just adds 20-30 feet. This set up makes it difficult if the course is even moderately crowded because you could have two groups on the same fairway playing different holes/baskets.
