Slightly better than a practice area

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 14, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

+3 nice prodigy baskets.
+Really nice park with shelter and playground.
+The park looks to get solid maintenance. Was mowed well.
+Decent trees on the outside of this park where the course plays.
+Good place to practice or bring new players/kids. Shouldn't lose a disc here.

Cons:

-Just 3 holes.
-No signage.
-Very flat.
-Not much variety between the holes in distance or challenge.
-Tees are mostly indistinguishable from the rest of the grass. They used to be marked by rocks but I don't think those are still around. My guess is that they got in the way of mowing and were discarded.

Other Thoughts:

+Hard to have too much issue with any baskets in small towns. I'm glad that they are there. It's probably better that they put 3 baskets over here instead of trying to cram them all into Henton Park.
+Course baggers delight with 14 total holes between 3 courses in Olivia and Stewart. If you aren't a course bagger or a local, this course probably isn't what you are looking for.

Sunrise Park 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 11, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

+ 3 baskets is better than none. Especially in an underserved area like this
+ Great for kids and beginners
+ Very clean and well maintained
+ Nice new Prodigy baskets

Cons:

- No elevation
- No challenges
- Hole 9 (3) plays a little close to the picnic shelter for my comfort
-Street parking (but I'm not penalizing for that)
-Tees can be a little hard to spot, a post would be nice.

Other Thoughts:

This is described as great for kids and families looking to have fun. That is an accurate description.
This is not a destination course by any means, but it never claims to be.
Great for learning on, warming up, or working on your short game.
It was hard to review this course as it's 1/3 of a course, so reviews may look copy-pasted
