Lotta mention of these alleged "finger steaks" you speak of. Then you send a pic of a burger and fries? False advertising at the very least.

Probably the most wholesome stuff you can mention on here that involved the word finger. Regardless if it's in the form of a verb OR a noun.

Hey now- I'm not (very) fat! Otherwise thread drift FTW! Personally I find discussion of an area's cuisine to be the logical next step (after the courses themselves) in any discussion of a trip. Food is about a thousand times more interesting than either throwing mechanics or the dg off season.

They are delicious actually! You have to get over the mental side of eating those to enjoy them I think. I suppose it's just easier for me to wrap my head around putting balls in my mouth better than most!

Not sure if you've ever had the turkey 'oysters', but they're the best, if you can find them. Probably great with fry sauce too, no joke. And, I'm not fat, or gay.

We're better than that.

I'll just put Sweet Baby Ray's on whatever it is. Chicken? Yup Ham? Yup Turkey Yup Burgers? Don't be dumb, Yup Noodles? Obviuosly, again, don't be dumb

I down sweet chili sauce too. And sweet and sour. That's what I get get for fries when I eat fast food. They usually forget to put it in the bag because it's at Wendy's and usually the employees are geeked out of their mind but when they remember that's the jam.

My wife and I were talking about June, but plans are so rough right now it's hard to even call them tentative.

If timing works out, I'd love to join y'all, but I can't commit to anything at this point.

Late to the party here, but I'm in the same boat for now. Lots of schedule issues are up in the air right now. June, maybe July will probably be best....

BTW I had no idea finger steaks were a thing till now, thanks DGCR!!!

One of my favorite things about where I live is that I live next to a large Mormon controlled potato farm. At the end of the season after they harvest we go "potato gleaning" which I had never heard of before I moved here. Basically all the leftover potatoes by the machines and processors are just left there and it's free game for anyone around to collect as many as they can get their hands on. Well I can see that farm from my second story balcony and am one of the first people to get there. This year we got super dedicated and came out with many buckets of russets and red potatoes. My neighbor had a second freezer because of course he does so I traded him an old bottle of whiskey and some firewood for it to store all these damned potatoes lol. I've been eating potatoes 4-5 days a week for over a month now!

I love how rednecks will trade anything for anything it's freaking awesome.

Yeah but they are Mormon potatoes so if you wear your magic underwear you can't die in a fire or be possessed by satan or something so I got that going for me. Plus when you fry them up with onions and eggs in the morning they taste freaking amazing.
