HH doesn't exactly stand at the head of the class in maintenance either but it is what it is. :)

Moderately maintained pasture is MUCH easier to play than minimally maintained heavy woods ;)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on Blockhouse. It was just sad because we could see what it used to be. Hell, it still could be with some elbow grease.

In theory it is undergoing some renovation currently.

When read this, for just a second, I thought you were referring to Highbridge Hills.

Given the ongoing DG soap opera that place has been, and having visited recently, maintenance is definitely an ongoing issue.

Go get your own thread, this is for a Caliber meet up you hooligans! :p I will beat you over the head with a sack of potatoes and you better believe I have many potatoes!

How to fit in in Iowa: Corn

How to fit in in Idaho: Potatoes, fry sauce, huckleberry everything, and of course those yummy finger steaks

This sounds fun. I live in Spokane, and if the timing is right, I could help people find some good food or drinks or whatever. Maybe even be available to help out with a ride if people are flying in to GEG.

Damn. I was giving a little thought to coming until the only person I "know" from Idaho got all inhospitable.

(Looks up fry sauce.)

Fry sauce? Can't possibly be worse than ketchup, right?

Fry sauce is awesome, it's ketchup with mayo and sometimes with a pinch of other spices like paprika or mustard, etc.. I'm not a huge fan of ketchup or mayo individually but somehow together when you dip fries and especially finger steaks in it is awesome. There is this weird rivalry I didn't know existed until I got here between Utah and Idaho. From my understanding Utah invented fry sauce but Idaho thinks they improved and perfected it. Idahoans don't like Utahans and vice versa haha. I got some strange reactions from people in Utah when I played tournaments down there and it said I was from Idaho which I didn't get until later. I starting saying I was originally from Seattle and they both agree that anyone from Seattle or California is the devil lol.

So fry sauce is pretty similar to Thousand Island dressing, but without spices/seasoning?

Meh.

Meh.

Fry sauce from my understanding is it has ketchup, mayo, pepper, salt, vinegar, paprika, and pickle juice, maybe something else. It's better than thousand island, more creamy/sweet.

Lost me at Mayo

I don't like mayo or ketchup alone but that fry sauce is my weakness. Finger steaks dipped in fry sauce is my go to in town for fast food.

Sounds like the sauce you can get in Holland for frites...

My homemade fry sauce is mayo, ketchup, and habanero hot sauce. Basically I need to cut my hot sauce with something especially if it's the jolokia private reserve (few drops of that in a mound of mayo and ketchup). Yeah I got a hot sauce dealer and he hooks me up!! Thay dudes crazy. Ghost of Twin Butte jolokia gets an honorable mention though but it's not Denzels Private Reserve Jolokia.

I got some Cheeba Gold for Xmas last year that I really like. I like hot sauces but anything above 50,000 scoville and I'm tapping out lol.

Yeah I'm not insane but I ain't no pansy. I don't do it like I used to my tolerance is down haha. One year honey Dumpling planted a pile of pepper plants, I always had a 1L full in the fridge. And my tolerance grew 4 times that year, I'd just eat them til I got a high. My father in law gifted me "the end" hot sauce, asked me for years if I'd tried it yet... finally used it this year in jambalaya, one dip of the chopstick to about 6L of jambalaya. It was good, but you gotta be careful with 6 million Scoville

I mean, I'm out just based on the time line for most people, but this thing went off the rails real fast lol. Now we're talking condiments. It's like the old DGCR lol.

Plus I can already get this shit at wal mart so Idaho's out :p
