Taking advice from over here: Disc Golf History ..., I'm starting a thread where people can help with research and making suggestions for trivia to add to the game. In general, I'd like to have the most accurate date for events that I can; it's not always possible. I'd also like to have references for answers, in case there are questions about whether the trivia is correct or not.

I have a couple of things I've been looking for:

1. When did the Disc Golf Answer Man podcast start?
2. When people talk about great disc golf shots, they talk about the Holy Shot, the Philobatross, Kevin Jones's slip ace and the Utah Open bounce ace by Sias Elmore. But I can't for the life of me find similar great shots by women, and I'm convinced that they exist.

Elaine hit the basket on a huge downhill at Worlds one year (Kalamazoo maybe?)

On the men's side the most famous shot for a long time was probably one that Crazy John Brooks threw on the dam hole in Columbus.
Wasn't Elaine's near ace from Flagstaff worlds? I hadn't started playing regularly yet, but remember hearing about it later.

Now here's a case where looking for one thing uncovers another. I found a video of the Dam Shot (linked from here, or course). Do you know about DGTV, and why they only have 6 videos in their YouTube account?

I do not- they were before my time (I started in 94). I would think @Cgkdisc may know more.

People called him "Crazy John"... he threw that disc, jumped onto it and rode it all the way down... jumped clear moments before it hit the basket, grabbed the disc out of the air and slammed it into the tray... they don't make 'em like that any more... sport's been going downhill for a long time... no skills or fun any more...

These DGTV videos were apparently done by the Indianapolis Disc Golf Club (IDGC). Dennis Byrne from Indy was a PDGA exec for a while. They may have been the first to produce a few videos using the DGTV label. There were later video ventures using the same letters or similar name like Disc Golf TV. Dennis Byrne is still around and may be willing to elaborate.

Do you mean around in general, or here on DGCR in particular?

I know these aren't Aces, but they're still amazing and memorable shots.

Paige Pierce's 236' throw in for Eagle #6 at Northwoods Black, #6.

Kristin Tattar's (now Kristin Latt) monster putt up the hilI on Toboggan #17. Paige had an easier putt for eagle and Kristin big putted her and basically ripped DGLO out of Pierce's hand with this putt, sealing her 1st DGPT win.

I haven't had any luck yet tracking down the Disc Golf Answer Man podcast. I know it's gone through a lot of iterations. When did it start?
