Vitals:
Years playing/experience: Recent stint - 5 years. Played 2004-2008. All casual rounds with friends and/ or my kids. Nothing competitive (yet).
Right/left-handed/ambidextrous: Right-handed
Throwing Style: RHBH, RHFH for some approaches.
Golf Distance (avg/max*) for putter/mid/driver: Aviar: 220/240'; Mako3: 240/260'; Leopard3: 270/300; Beast: 300/330'

Note that these are all stand-still. Everything falls apart if I attempt an x step and I lose at least 20' (see: lack of coordination).

Optional:
Age: 36
Sex: M
Injuries/handicaps?: Does a total lack of athleticism/ genetic gifting count?
My right shoulder will protest when I attempt a side-arm drive. I used to be more side-arm dominant in my younger years.
Other sport proficiencies?: No, see above. I've played some sports back in the day; wrestled in high school, but wouldn't claim any proficiencies.
Additional Information: I was inspired by ODRB to post my bag / rounds for my own personal musings.
What do you like/dislike about your current bag?: Relatively cheap plastics, easy to replace. Not too complicated or confusing. I wasted a lot of time messing around with different plastics, but in the end I've mostly fallen back to what I know from my high school / college days. I guess I'm just an Innova fan boy at heart.
Specific areas of desired feedback: I feel like the bag is fine. Plan to spend more time practicing skills rather than obsessing and blowing money on trying new and shiny things anymore. I am the quintessential stuck at 300' amateur, working on improving that.

I intentionally keep two each of my most used discs for practice, second shots.

I'm open to hearing out any suggestions.

Bag:

Distance drivers- Least used and least important discs in the bag.
167 Star Orc- If I'm feeling cheeky and need to throw hard into a headwind.
170 Star PFN Beast- Used bin find. Stamp is wiped and the new is knocked off, but it must not have been used much. Stable distance driver.
167 Pro Beast- It's broken in to where the new Pro plastic stability is gone and it's significantly less stable than my Star. Neutral/ slightly Understable- longest distance.
173 I-blend Sphinx- Understable driver for hyzerflips, right-panning shots, and long turnovers.
173 I-blend Sphinx- Fresh spare for second shots. Still has a little finish / fight at the end if it isn't cooked over.

Fairways:

170 Champion Eagle(x) - most overstable driver.
168 I-blend Exodus (Eagle-L)- Stable workhorse.
175 I-blend Exodus- fresh spare. Domey, seems to have more turn than the I-blend.
168 Star Leopard3- broke in but not beat, Neutral to Understable workhorse. Most consistent distance.
174 G-Star Leopard3- This disc makes me feel like I have skills or something. A shorter version of the Sphinx that I can power down on if I'm afraid to miss a gap.

Mids:
175 Star Caiman- Overstable utility, can smash into a headwind. 50/50 backhand and side-arm.
177 Halo Star Mako3- Straight midrange with a mellow finish. Flies on the angle you throw it.
173 Star Mako3- Most used midrange.

Putters:
173 Neutron Stabilizer- Stable to overstable throwing putter. Beautiful panning side-arm, anhyzer approaches.
173 Electron Firm Stabilizer. My confidence inspiring safety blanket, used on 90% of approaches. Beat in enough that when thrown hard and flat, it will have a mellow fade/finish.
173 Electron Soft Proxy - Pretty beat. Holds a high anhyzer and pans flat for a dog leg right. Saves my arm from attempting a side-arm drive. In the bag for one hole really. Will see if a beat Aviar doesn't replace it.
171 DX Aviar PandA- Driving, throwing, longer putts. Any time I don't want to risk banging up my putting putters

171 DX color glow Aviar PandA- Pair of putting putters with the 2023 St.Patrick's Classic stamp from local tourney.

Switched back to Aviars this week after losing the last two years on Pilots. I have never putted better, sank some C2 looks today. Something simply beautiful about the flight of a basic DX Aviar. Sometimes the classics are just best.

The stabilizers are the last hold outs from my fling with MVP. Some honorable mentions are the Insanity, Crave, and Matrix.

Played even par at Miller park yesterday. My best round yet, with two very avoidable bogeys ( 11,16) and two missed birdie puts on 1/10, and 5/14. Birdies on 6 and 7. Pars on 9/18 feel like birdies for me. My goal is to put together a -2 round by the end of the year.

Weather was fine, a little cloudy and some wind. The course was crowded with a long wait on the tee for 7/15,9/18, but that's expected when you have one tee for four holes. Still grateful to have this quick course within a mile of home.

Discs not thrown-

Orc
Eagle-x
Caiman

Too wet and sloppy for a round on the course thanks to this "atmospheric river" we are experiencing, but I snuck in a quick field session. Suspicions confirmed, too much overlap between the pro Beast/ Sphinx/ G-Star L3. Sphinx is on the chopping block.

I am feeling like the Orc may see more course use on the longer holes. Getting it out to the same 300' or so as the Beast but without the left-right movement and a reliable finish.

Snuck in a quick soggy 9 holes at Miller park this morning. One over par for a cold sunrise round. Pulled the Sphinx and didn't miss it.

Discs thrown-

Aviars
Electron Stabilizer
Star Mako3
Star L3
Star Beast
Pro Beast

Some field practice yesterday while the kids play on the play ground. Observations and notes from the last week.

I am noticing that my most seasoned Exodus has a similar flight to a fresh star Leopard3 and the Star Leopard3 is seasoned to flippy. Nothing changes in the bag, the star exodus will see more use for the stable to overstable shots.

My most seasoned Aviars are the 2023 color glow DX currently used for putting duty. I prefer the stiffer plastic for putting so this season I will try a pair of the classic Aviar. The two color glows will see throwing duty. Field testing proved that the seasoned aviar will hold the high anhyzer turnover I currently use the beat up proxy for. Next time I play Shady Oaks I will confirm if the proxy is out.

+3 (57) at Shady Oaks today. Significantly better than my average the last year on this course. Cloudy, cool, slight breeze. The course was pretty backed up so a lot of hurry up and wait. The putter turnover on hole 8 is feeling like a low probability shot compared to a side arm, especially if there is wind. Gonna test a few rounds without the proxy and lean into the Aviars a little more.

I blend Exodus was the workhorse followed by the pro Beast. Discs thrown -

Star Orc
Pro Beast
Star beast
I-blend Exodus
Star Mako3
Stabilizer
Aviars

+1 (55) at Miller park today. Managed birdies on 1,8,10,14,and17 but played too inconsistent and made poor decisions leading to six bogies.

1 Orc
4 Beasts
1 Neutron Terra - Auditioning for the overstable slot- Vs Champ Eagle.
4 Exodus
1 Leopard3
1 Caiman
1 Matrix - Tried on a few second shots. Not really needed between Caiman and the halo Mako3.
2 Mako3
2 Stabilizers
4 Aviar P&A
