Post a cool disc golf photo

@wolfhaley I moved to the Sacramento area a few years ago and haven't ventured out enough yet (young kids make it hard). But your pictures have inspired me. Zephyr is the only one I've played that you just posted. Need to hit up more of these great courses.

There's some excellent ones around this area. I'll be playing Lost Lake, a private one up by grass valley tomorrow too. Should have some pics of that one too.

Do you recommend this course? Is it open to the public? I haven't gotten down there yet (I'm in Grand Rapids).
Yes - Highly recommend. It's private and you need permission but info for contact is on Udisc and I encourage you to reach out. Very gracious owner.

Some photo highlights from Iceland. The ones named 1-5 are from UDisc's top 5 disc golf courses in Iceland for 2024. :giggle:

Some more Virginia Beach Bayville DGC est. 1977 Archology. The recent Tropical Storm Helene surfaced another artifact. From what I've been told, the realignment at Bayville was a result of baskets and tees being too close to each other, a safety issue. Today, some fairways still feel like their on top of each other.

First photo a wooden marker surfaced, seen for the first time by me, what would of been original short tee #11.

2nd photo looking up the fairway #11 the long basket is near the Christmas tree, I've seen the old anchor, but not this year, likely sand has shifted over it. To the left is current #9 short basket, former #11 short. Just to give you an idea how compact the course is, off to my left is current #8 long basket, former 10 long. Behind me left current short #8. Directly behind me former 10 short pin and anchor, still surfaced today. I would be teeing #11 within #10 basket C1. Just behind the tree you can see current #15 short basket. Before you get their your crossing current #9 fairway, and #15 long basket C2.

3rd photo this wooden marker I've always have seen it. Former #12 short tee, current #10 short tee.

4th photo looking down the fairway #10/12. Long Tee former #12 is about 40 feet back, can't find a marker. Current #10 long off left shoulder at a 45' degree angle about 25 feet back. Down Fairway on the right past cedar trees hidden is #10 short basket, former #12 long basket. The former #11 long basket would be within C2. Left Center behind trees you can barely see current 10 long basket. The former #12 short basket would of been hooked to the left behind the trees. The open fairway in the background left to right is current #14. The yellow basket to the right is short current #9, and former #11.

Mt McSauba #7, 500ft down the ski hill with lake Michigan in the background. Wind coming off the lake had my butt puckering as I threw down the hill. If you zoom in, you can see the basket in that large patch of sand.

2nd pic is from behind the basket, looking back up the hill.1000002562.jpg1000002565.jpg

Was literally just looking at that course. Did you enjoy it?

On the whole, yes . It's a major workout, hiking up and down those hills. The disc golf itself is wonderful, but the navigation is pretty iffy in several spots. Iffy navigation on that kind of terrain is particularly frustrating.

If you keep that in mind and can look past The frustrating nav, you'll have a great time.

Westside King. Throw the shit out of it because I'm old and hope it flexes the way I need it to to get as close as I can for a legit run for a two. ;)
