***Discraft again had to cancel the official Discraft Ace Race so I'm running Ocala's on my own :) Due to disc availability, we'll be using Dynamic Discs and everyone will get either a Lucid EMAC Truth OR a Lucid Bounty as their event disc. Also due to disc availability, this event will be capped at 50 players***
The 1st 20 people to register will be able to choose which mold they prefer as their event disc (Lucid EMAC Truth or Lucid Bounty) weights as well once I receive the stock of discs, available choices will emailed by order of registration.
The 1st 10 people will also receive the above and a quick dry towel. Dynamic Discs or Handeye brand choices also emailed when stock is received.
The 1st 5 people will also receive the above and a Dynamic Discs clear clipboard.
The format is an Ace Race. Everyone will have 1 throw per shortened hole. 36 holes, 2 rounds of 18 from 2 different flag marked "tees." Holes will be no longer than 200' with most being 100' or under. Nobody said anything about clear paths... If you make it in, you mark an "A" on your card. If you hit metal by ANY means, roll, skip, pole, top, basket, chain-out, etc, you mark an "M." At the end, the most "A" wins. If there's a tie, the person with most "A" and "M" wins. If there's a tie AGAIN, there is a CTP shot on the 1st hole short pad (event disc must be used).
Mulligans will be for sale. If you wish to use mulligans, you must bring any disc of your choice from home. Once you throw your 1st throw with your event disc, you may use a mulligan and throw your disc from home. This is the only time you are allowed to throw the disc you brought from home.
1st place prize will be a Dynamic Discs Combat Commander Backpack
2nd and 3rd place prizes TBD
50/50 and mulligans will be sold so bring a few extra $$ if you wish to participate
Very beginner / family friendly so have a friend register with you!
Each of the past 3 years we increased our donation from the year before. Last year we hit $1,700!!
Check in starts @ 9am and I'll have a short player meeting around 9:45. We tee off at 10am. The last 4 years it's finished right around 1pm.
