What a surprise, I show up expecting a small town course around a pond and that is not what I got.
Curious who designed this course, it is well done. You drive around to the back side of the pond for holes one. There are pit toilets which are better than nothing. Not sure what the smell was at the course, but I got use to it. There is another pit toilet near hole 10's tee box.
Some of the holes use the road, lake and park boundaries as OB lines. Specially hole 3, this wide open hole throws uphill 290ft to a narrow green between the road and park boundary.
Hole 5 is also pretty open, to add some challenge a raised basket was used. Reminds me of the raised basket at The Farm @ Quail Valley with the old tractor tire mound. (see media pic)
Hole 6 uses the elevation of the dam with OB at the bottom of the dam.
Hole 7 is either left to right over the water, or a big hyzer shot around the tree line.
Hole 9 has a double Mando and is the shortest hole on the course.
You finish with a couple of decent par 4 holes that are mostly open, but navigating the tree like and disc placement is key to make your 3 or if you are a big arm, make the 2.
Would I play here again? Yes, this course was worth the trip. No, it's not a championship level course, but this course will challenge you to score well and I thought was fun to play for a mostly open course. This is why I gave it a high rating.
