Pros:

Challenging 9 hole course. Requires a diverse range of shots depending on the hole. Not to mention it's the only course in Wasilla unfortunately.

Cons:

Pretty short holes. Can get muddy especially on holes 1 thru 3. There are tee pads for some holes, but not for others.

Other Thoughts:

Good place to play especially if you don't want to drive to anchorage just to play disc golf. It would be awesome if the city expanded it to an 18 hole course.

Alcantra DGC Review by Tre 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Lots of tree's but lots of technical lines to choose from on every hole. Small 9 hole course but spread out enough your not bottle necked and in fear of incoming discs from the last hole.

Cons:

Short distances for the holes but there are local "pro tee" spots if you know them and generally add 50-100ft to the existing holes.

Other Thoughts:

This is my home course but i would suggest it to anyone from beginners to experts.

For beginners the short distance holes and trees provide great aim control lessons and still allow you to not have to power out and loose control on your shots.

For more experienced players be sure to not over throw these shorter holes, if you do take the tee back 50-100ft some of the "Pro tee's" are marked.

There are wooden gravel filled tee boxes but they are not all in the correct spots. The boy scouts put these in without any prior knowledge of where the tee's were suppose to be. Just use your own judgment as to where to shoot from somewhere close to the boxes. You can easily see where the ground is worn down with no grass cause of where everyone tee's off from.
