Pros:

In the small village of Arena, with it's population of slightly over 800, there is a disc golf course. And on this disc golf course, there are tee signs and baskets.

There was a brave and valiant attempt at designing a mix of open and wooded holes, holes that favor both left handed and right handed, as well as varying distances. However, the result was an all around 1.0 disc golf course.

I will say, I have no quips for the design. The designer did a pretty solid job of throwing 9-baskets down. But it's just not a good course. It's just so...meh.

Also note, if you do come here, make sure to wave to everyone because this seems like a very tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone. I'm sure my visit will be the talk of the town for weeks to come.

Cons:

Oh man. Where to begin on this one.

The course equipment was just tees (a line of bricks), a tee sign (with hole number and distance in yards. Yes, you read that right, yards), and single-chained baskets (which I thought could belong in a history museum. Who does this anymore?? This is 2015!).

#3. What the hell. Even though this hole is like 120 feet, you're literally throwing directly into shrubbery on the tee shot. It may be better in winter.

No real distance shots. I played the whole round with just a putter and had birdie chances on every hole. Definitely boasts your self-esteem if you can work with the single-chained baskets.

Other Thoughts:

All in all, this is your typical 1.0 course. It exists, you can play it, but it doesn't leave a lasting impression.

Pros:

Short course that is easy for beginners.

Cons:

The holes are either wide out in the open with no trees or straight through very thick woods. In the woods theres no strategy its just whoever gets luckiest on his/hers throw. The holes are also unreasonably short.
