Other Thoughts:
Short nine around the grounds of a camp/retreat center. Crosses ballfield and multiple walking trails; best played during off-season.
Dirt tees, basic signage and DGA baskets. Navigation is pretty intuitive but has a few tricky spots. uDisc helps.
The layout starts with a couple of wide open holes around a ballfield, but moves into woods for the rest. There's a bit of elevation change to consider on the later holes.
But many of the "fairways" are also walking trails - narrow, and heavily wooded on both sides. The worst offender is hole #9, where you're throwing straight down a narrow trail bordered by split rail fences. The basket is beyond one of the fences (right side), near a camp gathering place and some buildings. It's a 288' par 4, so I guess the design is meant to dink and dunk a few 75' shots down the fairway.
Nine baskets, nine dirt tees, six holes longer than 225' and a few generous pars The course is an out-of-the-way winter bagging stop at best, and an afterthought for the facility. The Black Rock Retreat website doesn't even list disc golf among its many outside activities (archery, low ropes, giant swing, or glow dodgeball anyone?)
