Pros:

Bow Lake is a dual use Ball and disc golf course, and it's beautiful and hilly, with many holes that play near and/or over the water. Great variety of left to right, right to left, uphill and downhill holes that will challenge the pros and ams alike. The grass tee pads( orange tee markers Short, White markers long) ) were level and wide, except for hole 17. I was really glad that golf carts were there for rent, I still had plenty of energy on the back 9 in the 93 degree heat on Sunday, July 26th Grand Opening. Big bonus too is the clubhouse with sandwiches, snacks and a good beer selection.Good mix of ace runs even from the white tees ( 2,5,6,9, 10 12,and 18) to go with the long bomber holes 4,7,8,11, 13, 14, and 16. My favorite might be hole 8 at 609 feet, you throw over an arm of the lake, then hug the lakeshore with a hyzer to reach the pin.#13 is a monster at 970 feet from white.Kudos for installing red flags on the pins obscured by hills! Hole 5 is the shorty at 96ft from orange, 156 white, right in front of the clubhouse so you can impress others or simply embarrass yourself. Stellar gateway Titan baskets .

Cons:

No 'next tee" arrows or signs, but paper scorecard has a map on it. Hole 9 is nowhere near the clubhouse, but if you are using a golf cart, no big deal.

Other Thoughts:

Another Excellent course by Dave McCormack, great job! I loved it. Very scenic, fun and challenging. The ball golf fairways rarely cross or intersect the disc golf fairways, but be careful not to interfere or get hit by a shanked shot. Having grass pads with wood markers allows for flexibility to move and change hole locations if necessary; I see no need for concrete pads ( yet ). A well deserved "4" rating, maybe 4.3ish. If you wanna make a day out of golfing in this area, play Lake Pittsfield first, then rent a cart and play this one. Also, a disc golf cart will be hard to carry on the back of the electric golf carts; bring your shoulder bag. If you have a floating disc, bring it. Enjoy!
