Pros:
-next to the Blue course, and perfect both for warming up the arm and getting oriented to Branson Trails disc golf
-also well designed, but obviously not intended to be as challenging as the other course
-friendlier to non-hiker types than the other course; not quite as rugged
-good introduction to the property's theme of wooded lines on slopes (e.g. hole 7's slight left to right slope gave me a gentle intro to what can go wrong when your backhand turnover doesn't turn over)
-good baskets, pads, and signs (holes 4 and 9 share a tee pad on a wooden platform with turf grip)
-never gets too far from the parking lot, making it easy to get back to the car or facilities (I headed back to the car for my snacks and to make some last minute disc switches for my bag)
Some hole info:
1-4 were the grassiest and most open holes of the property's 27; trees encouraged lines but you could probably throw around some of them if you wanted to
5 was Pink's "signature" hole, with a fairway that sloped down under some overhanging branches before sloping gently back up to the basket
6 & 7 were in the woods with the shale hillsides so typical of Branson Trails terrain; trees left obvious lines while punishing errant throws
8 was an uphill shot with a shot-altering ceiling and some well-placed trees
9 was straight to the basket, beyond a ~10' gap in some trees placed about 75' from the tee; basket on surface sloping up to the right
It's possible I messed up some of these details, but this ought to tell you that even after a couple nights of sleep and after playing the ultra-memorable Blue course, I still remember my 25 minutes on Pink.
Cons:
-only nine holes, with several pitch-and-putts
-unless you're a local, it's probably out of your way; plan on playing twice or playing Blue as well
-there wasn't a course map online at the time I played, though signs and trails made navigation a piece of cake
Other Thoughts:
I played this in about 30 minutes before starting my round on the property's featured Blue course. The first four holes were fairly short and fairly open, but still had nice lines to hit and required diverse shots. After that, it ventured back into the wooded hillsides. These last five holes were the perfect orientation session before playing Blue.
Rating discussion: 2.5 for "Decent/Typical." Just 9 holes, some of which are very memorable but most of which are ordinary. It wets your appetite so that you're ready for more. Fortunately, it's right next to its awesome big brother course, and it felt like it was intended to be both a warm-up and introduction to the themes of the Blue course. I'll definitely play again when visiting.
