Brillian-ce Course Layout 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 10, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

An enjoyable compact course that takes no time at all to play. If you're staying in the area or attempting to hit multiple courses in one day, this is great to tag onto Longmont's courses.

Enjoy a fantastic view of the front range including a dazzling view of Longs Peak on tee 4.

Strong variety of forehand and backhand holes.

Cons:

While it's great to have water hazards on this course, it is nearly impossible to locate lost discs throw into the tall amphibious weeds.

There are two vehicles on hole 6 that add additional obstacles to avoid.

Other Thoughts:

At the time of this review (Oct 2018), the course is still a work in progress. Though each hole has a tee box & a basket and it is certainly playable in its current condition.

Play when the seasonal grass is high which adds to landscaping!

BrilliantC for sure 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 15, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a unique and interesting course. I had the opportunity to play it with the owner, which was a lot of fun. There is a good combination of long shots and technical shots. The location is unique and provides some very fun obstacles. The course is well-maintained and is obviously something that the course designer cares about very much.

Cons:

There aren't permanent tee-pads at some of the holes.

Other Thoughts:

Fun course, definitely make the time to go out and play, especially if you can do so with Markus.

Unique and Fun Private Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 6, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

I've now played this course twice, once for a glow round and the second in the light so I could get a better feel for the course. This is a unique & very fun private course. It is a little smaller than most are used too but the layout is difficult still. Birdie is possible on all of the holes however, not guaranteed.

There are a few really cool signature island holes that play over a little pond and a moat. Additionally, the owner mows the fairways so that the un-mowed rough is OB and adds another level of difficulty. In doing so I felt like it helped teach disc selection in addition to shot control.

Cons:

Some of the current baskets are a little older and have shallow cages and light chains however, in speaking with the owner I know there are plans to upgrade all the baskets.

Earth tee pads on most holes but again there are plans to upgrade the tees as well.

Most shots are wide open with difficult landing zones(not so much a con but having some trees to throw around always adds difficulty).

Other Thoughts:

I played the course with the owner and had some great conversations around alternate pins (including a hanging basket, and a raised basket), as well as alternate tee placements. There are big plans in the works for this course so don't be shy come play and watch this gem grow!! Great work Markus!!
