(1.403 Rating) A beginners course with several ace runs for skilled players.
- ACEABILITY - If you're hunting for your first ace, I would recommend playing this course. Six of the first seven holes are all under 220 feet, with hole (7) being an open 150 foot look. I'm sure those that frequent this course have racked up a bunch of aces. I would not be surprised to find out that one of these locals has ten or more aces out here.
- BIGGINER FRIENDLY - Very little overgrowth, little opportunity to lose a disc and every hole is under 350 feet in length. I'm sure most would agree that these are good characteristic for a course to take first timers to and also to take those wanting to learn the game.
- CHAINS - DISCatchers that are in great condition.
- QUICK PLAY - Among the quickest nines I've ever played. It was super cold and windy, so my partner and I were running between holes. We scratched this one off the list in 25 minutes. The only hic-up was trying to find tee (9) which is located behind a ramp with metal railings.
- NAVIGATION - They don't get much easier. Even though there's a map online, this course could be navigated easily without one. Baskets have a red tapped spoke that leads to the next basket.
- MAINTENANCE - The grounds appear to be constantly mowed, trimmed and manicured. I don't recall seeing any trash on my visit.

Course size, access and available space are limiting factors.
- SAFETY HAZARDS - Several holes have building in the line of play. Holes (8) and (9) are very concerning with an outdoor basket ball court in play. The line on (9) cuts thru the heart of this basketball court. A few other holes have pathways in play as well.
- LACK OF CHALLENGE - The difficulty factor is far below average. Advanced players should be able to deuce them all from time to time. All recreational players should be able to consistently crack par as well. The course definitely reads as a novice level course.
- CHARACTER - Very much lacking. As stated in the pro's, there are nice baskets. There is also decent shading at a couple tees and there's one bench near tee (5), but that's where the pleasantries end. Signage is limited to a sign with hole number, distance and par designation. There is no practice area, no multiple pin placements or multiple tees like those seen at the older established courses.
- UNIQUENESS - The variety is very limited. To advanced players they could play everything with a mid range and putter. IMO the first three holes are the best part of the course being all technical shots weaving thru a cedar tree canopy. Hole (6) is a raised basket location using heavy timbers to make a pyramid. No water elements and elevation change is negligible other than (6) just noted.
- NATURAL BEAUTY - Probably about average compared to all the middle school courses I've played, but far from average overall. There are numerous made man elements in view and in play the entire time. The tree coverage is nice on (1) thru (3) but even that portion would only score a touch above average. I scored the course roughly a 1.5 out of 5 for beauty.
- ACCESS - Although not fenced off like some other area school courses, playing here during school hours would not be wise.

A nice beginner and novice level course that offers the basic elements of the game. It's an easy one to check of the list if you feel the need to play every course once, just don't come here during school hours unless you're a student, guest or employee. Players at the school who have advanced beyond the challenges presented here should ask their parents to take them to Zilker, Cat Hollow or Wells Branch next.

-mostly straight shots, mostly short holes, most have few obstacles
-hole 9 is a challenging shot, probably too much so for middle school kids

This course is well designed for the younger player but will still offer them challenges. A reasonable place to practice for a more experienced player. The first 3 and last 2 holes offer a challenge with trees and OB and the open holes in the middle will have you battling the wind.

There isn't much to say about this course. It is pretty much what you would expect from a middle school course but hole 9 is a bit of a surprise. The tee shot is tight and there is an OB basketball court. This would be a great place to practice, get in a quick round, or take the kids but for most players the many other good courses in the area are a better choice. Course baggers only.

Excellent course for people who are just learning to play. Most holes are straight shots, but a few have some slight left-right/ right-left variation. This course is almost entirely open and it gives beginners a chance to throw and learn how to play. Distances are appropriate for someone who is just learning. Navigation is easy, tee signs are visible and helpful.

Not a good course once you've played a few times. Most of the holes are right about 200, straight, with nothing in the way. Doesn't really offer good approach practice because the course has so few obstacles. Hole 2 is tight, and 8 and 9 have OB, but other than that not much that is interesting here.

This course is really good for people just learning to throw, but after that isn't very useful. Given that it is on middle school property, this is good, but I wouldn't recommend any experienced golfers go play here.
