Disc Golf w/ A View 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 2, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Centerville Mills is a pretty neat course tucked in a secluded area of the park. Plays mostly through dense woods with a few more open shots.

Tee signs on every hole. The signs are pretty basic, but give you all the information you need.

This area's only activity is disc golf. You won't encounter many (or any) other people during the round.

The woods is really beautiful, especially if you wonder off the fairways a little bit. Epic views of the river to the right of #5.

I feel like there's a lot of potential. This could be a top 9-holer if it was tweaked a little bit by a quality designer.

Tons of navigational arrows makes this one of the easiest courses to navigate. Even though it doesn't get a ton of usage, it's still kept up with very nicely.

Holes 8 and 9 are pretty fun. A little more open with some trees seasoned in for added difficulty.

Restroom and benches are on site. There is also plenty of parking.

Cons:

The mix in distances was really strange, and didn't appeal to a certain group of skill levels. A few holes were around 120' while others were up to 400'.

Could be a lot more than it is. If there were a few holes that played down the cliff by the river and lake, you could have a top tier course. Untapped potential for sure.

Some of the wooded holes are almost laughable. A putter toss through the trees really isn't all that fun.

Other Thoughts:

This is really a beautiful area, set aside just for us disc golfers. It's kept up well, and definetly charmed me into giving it a 2. Could be better with some design adjustments, but I'd say come out and try it!
