Pros:
Note: Clear Fork just opened up a few weeks ago, so I won't include lack of signage, rough fairways, etc. in my review.
CFR disc golf is set right on the shores of a large scenic reservoir. The first tee sits at Picnic Area #1, an area that was pretty much abandon before this course was installed.
Lots of different shots here to challenge your game. A mix of scattered trees, dense woods, and open fields makes for an interesting round. The reservoir comes into play on a few holes as well.
Concrete tees, and Prodigy baskets. Prodigy is my favorite basket I've played on so far. Easy to see, and catches just about every shot that hits the chains.
Forms two 9-hole loops that end right at the parking lot.
I can't wait to come down here when the leaves begin to change. #2 has the best view of the reservoir, and would look beautiful in the fall time (even though it's still breathtaking in any season).
I like how the water creeps up on a few holes, but not overbearing where you'll lose 3 discs in a round.
Simple navigation. Big shout out to the person who spray painted navigational arrows around the course. Also, check out the first review of CFR for easy to follow directions to navigate the course.
There will be multiple pins for even more variety.
Very secluded area. Not much else going on here besides disc golf.
Good sized parking lot, but most of it is grass.
#7 was one my favorite holes. Blind downhill shot, with the reservoir behind the basket. It's shorter than you think!
#5 was great. Sharp fairway to the left with water behind the basket. Fun tee shot!
Also really enjoyed #2, #8, #12, and #16.
Cons:
There were some holes that seemed really cool, but after you realized how close your Drive was to the basket, it left you dissapointed. Wish a few holes were longer.
Only one set of tees.
This is the first restroom I've put in the cons section. Don't even walk in, you'll regret it for as long as you live.
Didn't include this in my review, as the course is brand new. No signage as of yet. Also, 10-16 has pretty rough fairways with logs, branches, mud, etc.
Other Thoughts:
Overall, I really loved this course. It's a really fun play, and a great addition to the disc golf scene in central Ohio.
