Pros:

Sometimes a course is squeezed into a tight space and it's a detriment. Sometimes it's better to have no course than trying to force one. Surprisingly, Creekside's neighbor 9-holer actually works. Just don't throw into any backyards.
- It's surprising that any nine holer, let alone one with some length can fit in this space. Yes, three baskets are used twice. Still, a nine hole course with less than a mile of walking is pretty compact.
- There are some good layouts. Three holes are longer than 400 feet - #2, 7, & 9. #2 & 9 are both solid station-to-station layouts. With winding fairways and baskets tucked away in the trees, players do need to land shots on the correct sides of fairways to have easier, or any, approach shots. Both of these holes work very well in terms of creating quality and challenge.
- Course offers plenty of birdie and ace run chances. The course basically consists of four birdie/ace runs: #1, 3, 4, & 5; two awkward/poorly designed par 3s: 6 & 8; and the three holes longer than 400 feet listed above.
- Compact layout can be your best friend. The course is intended for resident only. I didn't see anyone in or near the course/common area while I played. That said, I was done in barely 20 minutes so I was out of there before anyone would have noticed or cared.
- Limited obstacles, but nicely used. The basket is tucked away on #1/9 (shared basket), #2/8 (ditto) with baskets behind trees on #5 & 6. Throw in heavy-ish tree lines along the edges of a number of fairways, and this has the feel of many of the Charleston area courses.

Cons:

Navigation is a pain. If you're lucky, the UDisc map will lead you to small ground markers for the tees. I found them on most holes, while having to guess where there located on several others. Funny how the difference between a clear line and a bad one may only be a couple of feet. And when you're standing on an unmarked tee, and you're trying to guess where to throw from, there's that voice asking yourself how generous do you want to be with your tee location.
- The bigger issue is that I was never 100% certain I was throwing to the right baskets on #7 & 8. Referring back to the UDisc app, it indicated baskets in different locations for each. In both cases, no sign of a basket in said location was evident. This may have been user error by whoever tried to mark them. Or I could have been blind. Or something else. Again, it is frustrating thinking you've throw a solid tee shot based on the online map, only to find out there is no basket there. Instead turn around and throw to #2's basket, as was the case for #8.
- Many portions of the course run directly behind/alongside people's property. A stray shot can end up in a backyard. If you're trying to play undetected, retrieving discs from backyards isn't the way to go about that.
- Due to the overlapping nature of this course, it would be tricky to play if there are others on the course at the same time. I also suspect people use this common area to walk dogs or as a cut through. On #2 & 9, you're throwing long, blind tee shots in opposite directions, using the same fairway. Then, #2 & 8 play to the same basket from different directions. Finally, #7 comes into play on #3 & 4's fairways.
- No amenities on the course. No tee signs. Nothing. There's also not a place for the public to park. I used the private lot across the street. Being in and out so fast, again, I didn't drawn any attention.

Other Thoughts:

For a neighborhood course, this was an excellent layout. If we had a category solely for this type of course, this would be one of the highest rated ones I've played. And I've played more than five such layouts.
- The course is a mile and a half from the Cooper River. It's less than 4 miles to the ocean. Yet this is Creekside. It is located in MOUNT Pleasant, which has an elevation of 16 feet above sea level. So, maybe geography isn't this area's strong suit. P.S. if you think you need to explain this to me, trust me, you don't. You're missing it.
- I think everyone who reads this review would want this course in their backyard. You wouldn't want direct access to a 2800-foot, 9-hole layout from your backdoor? We'd all play here, practice here, create safari layouts, and claim this course as our own.
- The only bad layout was #6. There's no discernable fairway or clear lines. There are trees throughout. I'm not sure if this is another mismarked tee on UDisc.
- I enjoy the ace runs/ easy birdie throws on #3 & 4. I enjoyed the par 4s. Shoot, #7 actually had a little bit of the city's 16 feet of elevation come into play on this oh-so-slight downhill hole.
- With better signage/tee markings, with an improved #6, and improvement on a line or two, this is an above-average nine-hole layout.
